This league is much of a muchness. No stand outs at all. I think folk over rate how much quality matters at this level.

As long as our squad is competetive, the rest will be down to the gaffer. And weve got a good one.

I think we can put his injury at Valley Parades down to our situation, both him and Staunton were encouraged to return before they were ready because of our circumstances, unfortunatly that was McCall choice small squad etc.

It will be interesting to see how Angol does in pre-season.

Adams sees something in him and then for him personally it must give him a lot of confidence to come in somewhere new and get a fresh start. I hope he can find some form and have an impact.

Proven striker? He's a player that had a stand out season last year, before that he was nothing special and over his career, his stats aren't that different to Angol. I'm pleased we made him an offer we thought was fair rather than 'going all out' to sign him and blowing a big chunk of our wage bill on a player that has basically had one really good season in his career.

Matty Foulds isn't a "kid". He's 24 in February so if he isn't good enough then we need to move him on but we certainly shouldn't be waiting for him to develop.

When you say you don't care what you really mean is you don't know. It's league 2, more or less every team is going to be full of bang average players with the odd one or two stand outs, just like us. Your make believe sides overflowing with quality simple don't exist in this division.

IMO Paudie has a big season ahead of him. He still flatters to deceive. It was good to see Canavan shoving him away from trying to have a gob off to an Exeter player after a bad disputed tackle. Canavan's experience - and constant voice in his ear - will help Paudie alot. If he learns a bit more about temperament from Canavan, he'll improve for us. He has technical ability and strength, but just needs to get his positional sense more attuned to what's happening around him - and not blow up, if it's not to his liking.

Bogle has played at a much higher level than oteh will ever play at, I’d be very happy with bogle there’s a player in there maybe adams can give him the love he needs and get him firing again!

I'm sure I remember Bogle ripping L2 apart while at Grimsby, all the grim stats being stated are mainly from Championship level which is clearly too high for him. We are currently L2 so that's all we need to find is a good L2 striker.

It's quite possible. I bumped into Joanne Rowling many years ago at a railway station and I was wearing my City scarf at the time (as I was on my way to a match). It clearly stuck in her memory.

And, of course, Harry Potter was born in Bradford and played for City.

It's all about risk and reward. If Watt played cautiously and didn't try those big passes or moves, fans would be slating him for being too in his shell. With a player like this, you need to allow them to fail now and again to succeed in the long term. I'm happy with him developing with us right now.

I agree Watt is seriously underrated by some on here, there again some said Connor Wood was better than Meredith and Reeves better than Cullen so it’s important to take comments with a pinch of salt.

If Watt goes we need a decent fee plus sell on then we need to invest it in a few quality players who can walk into the first team. We need to give Adams what he wants, he’s the first appointment we’ve got right in years to not back him would be suicidal by the club. Even if it means going over budget, it’ll be cheaper in the long run than staying in this league as our fan base will dwindle and we’ll lose more and more fans.

If we want to truly progress under the new regime we have to recruit with purpose and get out of this league next season. Bang average in our squad isn't good enough. Anyone in the current squad fitting this description needs to be released and improved upon. Sparks and Turnbull have an opportunity (and probably a one time only chance), to keep the fans who've returned from the wilderness. The signings they make will have an impact on whether the waviering fans return next season, and how many season tickets they sell. We don't need wholesale changes but 4 our 5 starters is a must.

See, this is what I don't get. We hear this sort of thing time and time again from players - 'Bradford is a proper club', Bradford is a massive club', 'when I knew they were interested it was a no brainer' - yet when they get out there on the pitch, they play like they couldn't give a sh!t.

Funny, this was something MacAnthony was alluding to in his latest podcast in that a manager decides how he wants to play and buys specific players for that side. Like us with Danny Rowe when people were trying to shoehorn him in anywhere just because he had a fierce shot on him. Take Callum Cooke for instance, you either play him as a ball playing number 10 or not at all. If your manager is a 4-2-3-1 kinda guy the personnel you buy will be specific for that set up.
