The WAGMI episode has blown away this argument that 'nobody wants us'.
It really is down to Rupp now to invest and grow the club or sell up.

As fans, we need to be prepared to vote with our feet at season ticket time.
8000 season ticket holders would send a very clear message.

I’m not arsed about an owner who throws money about, let’s be honest out of the 92 teams it’s rare and they’re unlikely to choose a club with no assets and high overheads. But what you put about in 10 years time as with the Man City owners, the fact they thought in them terms showed they have an interest and are wanting to stay long term. Like with the Forest Green owner, who they’ve just released images of their new hotel, stadium training complex. This is a village team that I have to say I’m growing envious of, he isn’t doing it to throw money away it’s obviously for his own benefit but will also bring the club along with him, if only.

I’d settle for an owner who’s just interested in the club, has off the field ideas to grow it with an actual tangible plan not just talk and sees themselves still here in 10 years time. Maybe has a vision they live by, like if they say they’re going to focus on youth development and playing an attractive brand of football actually sticking to it and not hiring a Derek Adams type manager.

Another example is Chesterfield, hated their owner and dropped out of the football league. They’ve now got a bit of investment, I.e signing the odd asset and have just brought in Paul Cook. Wouldn’t surprise me if they come up and are above us next season. Stockport again similar. I won’t mention Wrexham as they’re a freak occurrence I don’t think anyone could have seen that purchase happening.

Hopefully this will be the game where people start to wake up and realise not everything that goes wrong at a club is on a manager, we look even more pathetic than under Adams. I put Oldham on at 21/10 today I can see a hammering.

Selling Canavan is a ****ing disaster.

The captain gone, Paudie sent off, Staunton injured, CHRIST.

Not a single CB at the club now, well done Ryan Sparks, well done.

Rupp needs to be the target, that said it is a big issue him making footballing decisions.

The only two serious offers this club has received in my 40 odd years of watching them are from Geoffrey Richmond and Rupp and Rahic. The rest are irrelevant and most likely not worthy of consideration.
Unless someone meets the valuation of Stafan Rupp it is his right as owner to dismiss these 'offers'. If he values the club around 8 to 10 million then that is what it's worth.

He doesn't seem to be desperate to sell, so he is hardly pricing himself out of a sale.

He is entitled to want a certain figure if he was tempted to sell, just like you would be if people enquired about buying your business empire

Who'd of thought it. A terrible owner, regression his only consistency. Nothing to suggest anything will change in the immediate future. So depressing

We were self sufficient until the Germans came here. We are heading to finish the lower half of the table and are still as it stands self sufficient after years of gross mismanagement. The only people who need commendations here are the fans and sponsors of this club, the ones who have stuck by this shitshow all the way through. Anyone else recieving plaudits leaves a very sour taste in the mouth.

Ironically your post is below a very good post from @Fuzzy@Fuzzy explaining how the owner of Scunthorpe has pumped good money after bad over many years trying to bring them success to no avail, I'd love Rupp to back Hughes next season with the best player budget in league two but as Fuzzy says unless its spent correctly you can finish up with massive problems.
    Regards
    Happy clapper ;)

What do you mean? Bradford is very much like Venice, we have, erm, a fountain. And a beck.

It has been a dismal display this season and it is worse than last year. Here we sit at the bottom of the 2nd division. Being safe is no achievement. We were promised promotion.

The real shame here, is that it probably would not take much of a cash injection from our owner to push us forward. Say £1 million
good football and pushing the top of the table , could see us average 18000+ crowds . the extra 3000 at £15 each per game.
brings back the million in revenue and promotion much more, he could then take back his money in dividends.
Also the club a division higher would give him more chance of a sale at a decent price.

I would love to do a fly on the wall documentary. Like Man City or Macclesfield. I bet we are a total basket case. The treatment room must be like the Mecca in the eighties…. Rupp on a conference call ordering sinks and cisterns for sparky. God we are so soft. When the going gets tough. Any cross creates mayhem. I actually have a bit of sympathy for our keepers. Our defenders cannot attack or mark a ball coming in.
