Well his experience has stood us in good stead so far. And don't most transactions to buy clubs/businesses start with loose expressions of interest? I wonder how many genuinely interested parties have been dismissed because Rupp doesn't think they're serious? Or more succinctly, does Rupp gauge 'levels of interest' based on his inflated valuation of the club.....

 

Do we know what his valuation of the club actually is , or are we pandering to guesswork? I would imagine , like any property or business sale, one wants to make a minimum of what the total investment was. Anything above is a bonus.?

 

The amount of fans on here who slagged off Adams, rightly, for not taking responsibility when the going was shit I hope they’ll now be consistent with this interview. It’s actually less than I expected I thought we might have got a few clichés at least about mistakes made and lesson’s learned but the opposite it’s a ‘what else could we do’ shrug of the shoulders. In business when something fails it’s important to have a post-mortem to make sure it does happen again, if people are wondering why we’ve had 10 managers in 4 years this interview is testimony to it they literally just shove everything onto the manager and try the same thing again. If we succeed it’ll be luck not careful planning and skill.

Probably so it’s such a poor interview I couldn’t call it a PR spin so it was probably arranged last minute. No responsibility for what’s gone wrong, sounds like Adams only in a nicer way.

 

I've heard £10m is what he's quoted. I believe a similar figure was quoted in the press a couple of years ago.

Not overboard with passion and ambition was he. Down to Mark and his staff.That is the main reason for optimism for me.

 

Rubbish interview. Like all of what the T & A has to offer.

However, puts to bed things like @Park bantam says that no one would make offers to buy us when clearly we gets lots.

He needs to sell up in my mind. Failure of an owner at this club unless people think div 2 midtable and taking us backwards under him is good enough.

The only two serious offers this club has received in my 40 odd years of watching them are from Geoffrey Richmond and Rupp and Rahic. The rest are irrelevant and most likely not worthy of consideration.
Unless someone meets the valuation of Stafan Rupp it is his right as owner to dismiss these 'offers'. If he values the club around 8 to 10 million then that is what it's worth.

I feel that is a little disconcerting mate if we take his lower figure of 30 and say 20 are time wasters that suggests around 10 are either put off by his asking price or Stefan doesn't think they would be good for the club going forward, maybe we're going to have to live with our proud custodian a little longer.
I believe with what we've seen so far with regards the fans returning to Valley Parade etc and the improving displays (even with an overall poor squad) Bradford City fans will beat this seasons take up of season tickets wouldn't it be great if as @Faithful Bantam suggests he put in a substantial amount of money loan or otherwise to get us on the firsf steps of the ladder out of this league.

 

It feels like he's sliced it in two to get more views and the way he's reported it probably wasn't in question order

Hard to judge the interview so far when we've only read half of it!

 

I think if there were any ground breaking revelations in it then it’d have been a full blown exclusive released as soon as it could be printed first to sell copies. The fact Parker’s colleague is releasing it tomorrow and he’s gone on holiday suggests there’s not much else to read. It’s not hard to judge what he has put so far, which isn’t impressive if Adams said something like there’s little point looking into a loss after a defeat we’d be going mad. The guy has no idea about running a football club, he should have stuck to helicopter seats and race cars(play to your strengths) and we’d all be a lot better off for it.

 

I haven’t read it and no intention of doing so, as it’s from the “scoop” machine Parker.

Who would be asking?

1) Belle Ends off this forum on a fishing expedition
2) Property grazers. (The type that look around your house when it’s up for sale , yet have no intention of buying)
3) Wishful thinkers ,1, those hoping to buy ones house but just couldn’t quite afford the mortgage and need to look £50k lower
4) Wishful thinkers, 2, those hoping to buy ones house , that couldn’t even get a mortgage
5) Just looking for ideas so we can do ours up!
6) The press.

We have all experienced these “ interested” parties, Rupp will be no different!

 

So pricing himself out of the sale then. Great!
