If he does not come out with those sort of comments the club are accused of not keeping fans informed of what's happening , looks like neither he or the club can win.

I would tell them all the same. You or I don’t need to know the numbers down the point million like we keep getting. What good does it do? No one will care about lack of communication if we sign players or half decent standard and we see the results on the pitch. People will only question it if we slide down the league.
He can win. He needs to be smarter at it. It’s private between the manager and scouts etc the budget. If McCall wasn’t happy then it would be up to him to tell the board it’s not big enough.

I’m no Rupp apologist but if what I’ve heard is correct and it all happens, I think the he isn’t interested line will have to be revised.

But it must be stuff that Rupp or Rhodes have given him permission to quite, I'm not disagreeing but some on here would RIP the club apart wanting to know why keeping fans informed (in their opinion) is not club policy.

Not a big fan of Mr Rhodes then Trevor
Mark Lawn was the driving force behind that regime and no doubt

Just read the last three supporters meetings and I saw nothing about how much money we have to spend. Only what we have spent already. I certainly can’t find anywhere where the club is saying we are going to spend millions quite the contrary

Maybe it’s not exclusive to Sparks but the owners and club as a whole. Why are we in the press telling people our budget with the window not even shut? It’s amateurish.

    Other way round.

The limitations at City is the amount of talent, not the amount of ambition.

Ambition is superfluous without talent, and yet I keep reading about Rhodes lacking talent and needing to show ambition.

    That doesn't make any sense.

    That's my point.

Mike - we're all ears. No, seriously, if you have heard something and it is a real positive, I hope it comes off.

We lack talent because we have little ambition or ability to acquire it, That has been our problem under Rhodes

Talent for what? That's not making any sense.

We lack talent because we don't have an ambitious plan on and off the pitch.

We lack talent because Rhodes isn't ambitious enough...He is holding the club back and has for years!

Fans need to be more ambitious though...Where we find ourselves in div 2 with no assets is unacceptable! Highly unacceptable! Don't be scared...Demand change!

Here's a break down of deals Julian Rhodes engineered dealt with during his time at Valley Parade in no particular order.

Oli McBurnie – Initial fee to Swansea around £250k with add on for subsequent moves. When the final payment is received at end of this season, the total will be in excess of £3m.

Nahki Wells – coming through our Development squad an initial fee to Huddersfield Town plus add on's for goals and appearances plus % of next transfer, an estimated £2.9m in total.

George Green – Initial fee to Everton £300k and on's based on progress, unfortunately it didn’t work out.

Niall Heaton – Initial fee to Liverpool then and on's based on progress as with George Green Niall didn't progress as City would have liked, estimate £60k.

Scott Brown from the Development squad move on to St. Johnstone nominal fee.

Tom Cleverley – Small fee but the add on's for future transfer, unfortunately for City he ran his contract down at Manchester United, but we still got some money as % of his loan fee to Watford at the time, estimate £100k.

Fabian Delph coming through our Development squad – went to Leeds at 14 but Julian Rhodes negotiated a sell on, Villa agreed an undisclosed fee with Leeds for the transfer of Delph to Villa Park, not sure how much but it was a significant amount.

Andy O’Brien – came through our Youth set up after being release by Leeds, he was later sold to Newcastle for £2m.

Andre Wisdom – Signed for Liverpool as a fourteen-year-old in January 2008 for what his Bradford youth team manager Peter Horne implied was an unprecedented fee for a League Two youngster.

Jake Wright – Never impressed at valley Parade and was moved on Halifax Town for small fee, estimate £50k.

Must be wrong @Bronco@Bronco , because the ultimate oracle on anything and everything @Fordy117@Fordy117 says he's not ambitious and is holding the club back .

Sorry but I don't get why you think he's ambitious. Yes, hes done some deals...And?

Point is the money generated he hasn't done anything with it? Now we have no assets barring Wood.

You could argue we sell youth players far too early and I can't praise a CEO that's got us in to the lowest division. Sorry but I can't. You can but I don't know what your aims and vision is for the club but I don't like failure...Do you?
