Wasn’t it Archie Christie who negotiated the sale of Green to Everton?

Mark Ellis recommended Nahki didn’t he?

You can balance all that out with:

    Mark Stewart cost over £200k
    Aaron McLean
    The disagreements with Gibb
    Administration
The last transfer window was as bad as anything under Abbot and Rahic
Waiting too long to sack Bowyer
    Jacko as a manager
    Peter Taylor
    Billy not Willy Topp
    Three relegations
Sacking Todd at the wrong time

The 5 years finishing higher than the season before
    A major cup final
    Promotion
    Play offs
    Josh Cullen
    Pickford
    Gary Jones
Rescued the club after the Richmond affair and saved us from the chancer Gibb
    Appointed Phil Parkinson
Negotiated several transfers which have brought in good money for the club including McBurnie which is what is keeping us going now

    Some good points there offside
We do have a multi millionaire owner problem is he is not a "backer" am at a loss as to why he bought us and why he is prepared to keep the club in limbo losing value daily
With "well spent" player investment, next season is the best chance we will ever have to get promoted and reach the promised land (the championship) not many L2 chairman have his financial wear with all to offer a sustained threat
To me it's make or break for him
To put season ticket prices up as a L2 club would be suicidal but if we had a team on the pitch pushing for promotion a good number of fans wouldn't baulk at a price hike for higher level football we are a loyal bunch just need some encouragement !!!!
A lot of our problems have been self inflicted Edin largely to blame but have things improved beyond recognition since he left not in my eyes The worst manager we have had in many a year was given the time to totally wreck last season can't blame Edin for that !!!
Yes there is a lot wrong with our club at the minute and it's not all down to Mr Rupps "zipped" pockets
Not too sure but maybe like a few others on here he has a lack of confidence in the people running the club

Can't deny any of the above happened
But take Phil Parkinson and Mark Lawn out of the equation and we would have had exactly what we have now NOTHING
Don't think negotiating a massive ground rent could be classed as saving us from "The Chancer"
We came out second best in that one as well

Yes, Archie Christie negotiated the sale of Green to Everton. Archie was also the one who brought Scott Brown to VP.

Baldwin was instrumental along with Mega in bringing Wells to VP through their RIASA tie-up. It was then Baldwin who lead the nogotiations with Town when Wells was sold. It was also Baldwin who negotiated the sale of Wisdom to Liverpool and put in place the structure for future sales of our youngsters. To give credit to others for these is a travesty.

Park's list of so-called successes is a looking a little threadbare once the real facts have been included.

I've had a think about Bradford being a poor city and its relation to ticket prices with other other towns and cities and i'm not sure the point made is that accurate. I'm going on the premise that the average Bradford City fan generally earns the same as an average fan of other clubs situated in large towns and cities and that the cheap season ticket prices are nothing to do with affordable football, more down to the poor product on offer. Its a great incentive if you want something to do on a Saturday afternoon but as a long term business model it hs its pros and cons. Truth is as a business model you need to rinse your customer for every last drop of disposable income by whatever means necessary.

If i was Rhodes i'd be having Park write up my prospective CV, the phone would be off the hook with job offers.

Not acording to DB who for example spent some time with me explaining the detail of how he had negotiated the Liverpool deal for Wisdom which was used as a template for future sales of the club's younger talent.

A pittance we made over three million pounds for a player who went to a championship club which is his level

    IF 3 million is correct
Still a pittance for a Championship player with his potential
What good did it do us ???

The Wells deal does have a bad smell to it, seems we got our pants pulled down by Town. Remember his last game for us with the 'pulled hamstring'? As a club we generally don't have a strategy of developing young players for resale, McBurnie's development and to a lesser extent Wells was pretty much down to the clubs they went to rather than us. To be fair to Rhodes he pulled a rabbit out the hat with the McBurnie sell on fee but i think he could have done better with the Wells transfer.
