I would be ok with him moving sideways into the commercial side of the business. We are now desperate for leadership and football nounce at the top.

 

I don't understand why people keep saying this.

We have someone leading the commercial side of the business, and seemingly leading it well and more successfully than it was being led when it was previously Sparks' direct responsibility.

If anything we should probably ditch the CEO role and have an executive leadership team of Longo as Chief Commercial Officer and bring in a Chief Football Officer.

 

If his job is to keep the club in League Two until a buyer arrives then his rip it up and start again approach is working perfectly.

Won't do a fans forum when his leadership has us as the 6th worst side in the country but will do this PR exercise to massage his ego. Embarrassing.

 

The Radio Leeds thing should make interesting listening.
A chance for someone (not Parker) to hopefully ask the relevant questions and see if RS has the answers to back up the stream of nonsense he’s been spouting for 3 years.

He thinks this fan base is completely thick and that he can get round criticism. He’s overseen us drop to one of our lowest ebbs a club.

what a surprise - a rubbish CEO , chosen by a rubbish CEO (Rhodes).

Rhodes came across as a glorified pen pusher and needing a strong no nonsense character alongside him like Richmond or Lawn to really kick on, the club (under Rhodes recommendation) chose a cheap rookie to go it alone, and has reaped what they sow.

Heard it all before now. Sooner Sparks goes the better.

So he has achieved his dream of being a CEO, which is right now taking us down the EFL 4th division table, and he wants us to pat him on the back?

 

Quick to hand out the criticism to others though isn't he? Remember when he said about Adams that he was given a massive opportunity at this football club and failed to deliver? Well Ryan, maybe you need to look in the mirror because your situation isn't that dissimilar.

 

Even after last night's win, I didn't have a joyful feeling. Being 90 mins from Wembley (regardless of the competition) should be a great thing of excitement for fans. But the state of this club at the minute has voided me of looking forward, really just want May to come around so I can have a few months off of disappointment and that inevitable summer rebuild bring me hope.

Then this. This guy. Seriously Stefan, get rid. Fans have been clamouring for news from the club. Fans have been clamouring to talk to the board to clear out the path and get through the issues. Fans had to organise their own! Instead, heres an image boosting interview. He never does himself any favours. Wrong time, wrong answers, wrong attitude. Dream job, my arse! Adams had a point didn't he?

 

I thought he was about to burst into tears. No ones forcing him to do this job…

 

One thing I will say that anything directed at him personally or any of his family as a veiled threat or in a menacing way is absolutely wrong. He needs to be properly held to account by supporters in a meaningful way. Hopefully the supporters group who attended the event on Monday will get the 800 + members it needs to have a mandate to do just this.

 

Have to laugh really he’s a comms expert but I guarantee every PR advisor in the country would have warned him off the T&A exclusive and now this 5 min car crash.

 

The guys been in PR and communications for years.
These type of sterile,prepped interviews are his bread and butter.

Anything negative thrown at him will never be seen as a criticism.
He’s Teflon.

I said earlier the Radio Leeds thing could be interesting.

The more I see these type of ego boosting,back slapping interviews the more I think it will just be another “everybody look at me,aren’t I great” Ryan Sparks show.

The guy won’t put himself in any position that could potentially make him look weak.

It’s not what PR people do.
