Even after last night's win, I didn't have a joyful feeling. Being 90 mins from Wembley (regardless of the competition) should be a great thing of excitement for fans. But the state of this club at the minute has voided me of looking forward, really just want May to come around so I can have a few months off of disappointment and that inevitable summer rebuild bring me hope.
Then this. This guy. Seriously Stefan, get rid. Fans have been clamouring for news from the club. Fans have been clamouring to talk to the board to clear out the path and get through the issues. Fans had to organise their own! Instead, heres an image boosting interview. He never does himself any favours. Wrong time, wrong answers, wrong attitude. Dream job, my arse! Adams had a point didn't he?WilsdenBantam, Bantam Begins, Ponty City and 7 others like this. -

This club has never been non league.
In my 35 years of supporting City we've never been so low.
Not progressed in the last 5 years in any of the major cups until this season and again until this season haven't passed the last 32 stage in the EFL trophy.
One successful campaign last season in the last 5 and decisions made that will cripple us financially for a few seasons to come in long term contracts and firing of managers that Sparks appointed.
I filled out the request for a fans forum meeting with Stefan Rupp.
On the message to Stefan it dawned on me where we are and what it's doing to everything and everyone that's concerned with the club.
My son is 11.
Been going to City since he was 3.
Got hooked after the Lg1 play off campaign.
Ever since then he's seen relegations, lack of cup runs and a disappointing end to last season.
He's of an opinion now that we might get more excitement watching the team he plays for, Farsley Celtic or our local team, Guiseley as what's been served up isn't keeping him excited and committed.
That to me is everything in my stage in life.
I will always support City, but time with my family and enjoying the last of his young years are my priority.
Nothing we are doing right now is contributing to this.
No giant killing, no local heroes playing successfully for the club, no big signings to whet the appetite.
Nothing, just drifting aimlessly towards non league.
All under the structure created and implemented by Ryan Sparks.
The sight of another young, average output striker arriving to be baby sat from our Uncle Middlesbrough has said to me this season is done.
The recruitment is poor, the football is the worst it's been for years and the atmosphere is dead.
Anyone who is tempted by this has either nothing else to do or are blinded by loyalty.Briscabantam, bantamdave41, bantamlad92 and 7 others like this. -
For the record I'll take absolutely nothing away from Lawny, he openly admitted that taking the club up to the championship & beyond would be out of his capabilities and he sold us. He is City through & through, in fact he was sat behind me in the directors boxes on Tuesday night in his Balenciaga fleece and pork pie hat, supporting us in a game that means very little to a lot of our fans and on a freezing cold evening
I'll tell you this for free - you won't see Rupp, Sparks or any of their useless cronies at a VP match ever again once they inevitably depart the club!!Jayteebee, Budgie, Ponty City and 7 others like this. -

Just sent him another e-mail as he said he answers all of them that aren’t abusive.
Seeing as he didn’t answer the question from the guy who wasn’t going to renew his season ticket,I’ve asked him how he can convince my wife and I to renew our tickets and what tangible processes are in place to make a successful season more likely.
There was no abuse at all in my e-mail,so we’ll see if he’s a man of his word.Bronco, CRASS, Bantam-in-Greece and 7 others like this. -
So are we not allowed to aspire to be better? If we were traditionally always a League 2 club, do we just be content with what we are now?
Sorry. Not for me.
I thank the Lord there are people like Geoffrey Richmond in this World, who show some ambition.
I doubt this club could be more than a ‘Rotherham’ in the Championship given the sickening sums involved in running a football club, but there is absolutely no reason why a club of this size, with a huge ground and fanbase, should not be competing at the top end of League 1.
That is where we were before Rupp and Rahic arrived. We’re miles off getting back to that point now. That is thanks to our passive owner and inexperienced/blagger of a CEO.

We have clearly regressed as a footballing club during his tenure. If he can't accept mediocre then he should now consider his own position as that is EXACTLY what we are right now. Possibly even worse than that.

No need to have a look at who voted no, its exactly the person you thought would. The same person who epitomises failure through support.

oh and if sparks and his mates are still associated with the club and try pulling a stunt like that again, I would hope the City fans who got conned last year will have seen the light. Remind me, how many excursions have Kadima ran since their maiden trip using us as their business guinea pig? NONE thats how many

I’m one of the 10% who voted no
Not because I think Sparkes is doing a good job I just think its an irrelevance who is CEO or who is the owner of BCFC
I started going the week City were relegated from Division 3 (L1) to Division 4 and watched them lose 2-3 to Avenue who had just gone the other way.
For the next 21 years they spent 17 in the bottom division getting promoted twice and relegated twice in that time
Each season I eagerly anticipated an improvement and each match I expected a win even though more often than not I came away disappointed - still there was always next week - season
And then in 1982 things changed
For the next 26 seasons they were out of the bottom division and even spent 11 seasons in the Championship (or equivalent) and 2 in the Premier League
Of course since 2007 we’ve been back where I started and apart from 6 seasons in L1 have struggled in L2 - punctuated by the magic of 2012/3
I still go each week expecting things to get better and each season thinking this will be the one
To be called a Happy Clapper by ignorant folk who started supporting City in the 90s is insulting to say the least
I hurt as much as anyone else when we lose - but I usually go away complaining about one player or the other, an easy chance missed or a definite penalty call turned down by a biased ref (who we as getting exactly the same accusations from opposition supporters) - I have never gone away blaming the CEO or owner
So the season ticket I have owned since 1962/3 will be renewed next year as will the ones belonging to my sons and grandchildren

I would be ok with him moving sideways into the commercial side of the business. We are now desperate for leadership and football nounce at the top.
