Are you just paying for yourself Fordy or several midgets? Do you attend games?
I pay for 4 people so can't afford £1000 plus the numerous away trips that we do. Sorry I think it's all about getting bums on seats and creating atmosphere...like Oxford...Petrov, Bronco, Here's Johnny and 2 others like this. -
The average EU tariff on UK food imported from outside the EU is 22%.This is a tax that even the UK's poorest have to pay that is sent off for Brussels to play with. You can't vote to change this because the EU Commission are unelected. This tax gets abolished if we leave the EU under WTO rules and you can then vote for British politicians who decide whether or not to continue taxing the poor to benefit the rich in this way.
City are better off with cheaper tickets and more bums on seats. Mark Lawn repeatedly said the not-ticket revenues that were proportional to attendance made it so. This season, we increased prices and saw attendances drop and matchday kiosks close. I can't believe that I'm reading that some fans want more of this.
Tea drinkers not hard-core fans? It was mostly tea drinkers putting money into the club at this season's FA cup ties.Park bantam, Idlebantam, Inner City Sumo and 2 others like this. -
Brilliant price
2 pay days is enough for the hard up . Always on sale similar time of year so no surprises there . Carnt see a massive increase after April anyhow . Only thing I see missing from the info is how long seats are reserved but am sure they’ll release that in due course. Good to see the back of the stupid membership structure that edin tried to flog us ,thou I did like the club shop discount for season ticket holders .Nick_W_, WilsdenBantam, bantamdave41 and 2 others like this. -

I don't think Fordy is necessarily the most eloquent or rational in the way he puts his points across but he does have some valid arguments.
There is an acceptance of ''well, we are what we are and that's that' but there's no reason that cannot change. There's also a fundamental fear of debt within our fanbase. We are apparently the only club that must live within its means and that's not only tiring but hugely limits our potential. Debt isn't a bad thing, it makes the world go round, but it has to be planned and manageable and certainly not in the credit card binge way Edin has left us in a mess.
I just find our collective acceptance of our 'lot' both frustrating and tiresome.Inspector, Lancashire Bantam, Rogered Tart and 2 others like this. -
The references linking lower ST income to viable transfer activity doesn't necessarily equate to less quality. We have recently been stung by paying over the odds for targets that have failed to impress. The trick will be to get us going for less and I believe DH and co are well placed to bring in the quality we will need to mount a challenge.

In my opinion we will still sell a decent amount of season tickets for next season but that is only because they are selling for a pittance.
We all know if they were £300 they’d be loads of people not bothering.
If you’re a true City supporter you’ll be renewing your ticket without even thinking about it. £150, £300 who cares? League 1, League 2 who cares?
We don’t know how lucky we are with our season ticket prices, a seated season ticket at Macclesfield Town is £320!
Just buy a ticket and support your club!shoatsy, Park bantam, Bronco and 2 others like this. -

From watching a side narrowly miss out on a promotion to the Championship, I’m now watching a side slumped rock bottom, hurtling towards league two.
I won’t go into the why’s and why nots of why we find ourselves where we are, as it’s well documented.
I’ve gone from anger to despair to apathy to giving up and walking away from supporting the club.
The needlessness of this regression is one of the things I found most difficult to accept.
Yet, despite the desperate position we find ourselves in, I haven’t yet given up of staying in this division, yes, the chances are slim and many of the shower we’re relying on to keep us here aren’t worth the paper their contracts are written on.
However, 7 games to battle to stay here, is a damn sight easier than 46 games battle to get back here.
But, going on beyond that
If/ when we drop into the basement, I’m actually taking a slightly more pragmatic and positive outlook than what my opening few sentences spelt out.
Looking slightly further afield is the strategy as a fan I’ll choose to take.
Coventry, Blackpool is two clubs to use as a model of quick returns from L2.
24months pass very quickly, we could realistically have won league 2 ( or certainly gained promotion), in 24 months times we could realistically also be sat where Luton are.
Yes, we could also easily struggle in L2, however my new found optimism isn’t found on blind faith and a rallying call.
It’s found on a manager that thrives and revels on a challenge, solid work at both Blackburn and Blackpool suggest this. He’s now going to piece together a squad whilst not battling the boardroom.
We’ve also a bit of stability off the pitch in JR sat in the CEO role. We’ve an owner, a Man of dignity and integrity, a man of his word. Yes, naïve in football but learning quickly.
We’ve a cracking fan-base of quality fans, that generally can see beyond the last 45minutes of a football match, well I’m looking beyond the next season, I’m going to enjoy it, knowing the endgame is a good squad, built by GB, quite possibly sitting in the top six of league one this time in 2021.
Come on board, we’ve bottomed out off and on the pitch, the ladder will very soon replace the snake.Jason McEvan, Brackenrigg, thebantamhaslanded and 2 others like this. -

Ryan Sparks saying season ticket sales have picked up (yes I know he would say that) but sounded positive, also said totally different to last year after Simon Grayson had turned us down as a club we did not know which way we were going, where as this season we have Julian in place with afew appointments to make and Gary Bowyer already planning for next season, don't like the fact that we will be back in the khazi league, and yes I know it's no consolation but it has been worse, come on guys dig deep .BradfordBanter, trevor, shoatsy and 2 others like this. -
Can not win. People complain about lack of PR push but if the club target the PR to those that haven’t renewed people complain
