Season tickets (Now with guess how Many Poll)

Tend to agree based on reading the T&A article earlier this week about his take it or leave it transfer policy. Seems single minded on what he wants and takes no prisoners.

 

Not if folk are unprepared to pay it. Getting 15,000 buying at £150 will still only raise as much as 11,000 paying £200 and you potentially lose sponsorship revenue by losing a bigger audience

I’m still not convinced we lost 4,000 just because of the Rahic factor. Some refused the increase too

 

And some because of the free kids

Although I agree some may have not have renewed for another reason and not because of Edin my personal belief is that over 90% did because everyone I know who didn't renew said it was because of him.

 

As opposed to admitting they were too tight to pay an extra £20 per ticket? LOL

TBF, you may be right, but I do know some that said the costs of renewing 3-4 tickets was simply not worth the expense

 

Just going off the people I know yet quite a few went to away games instead and have now started coming back to VP now Edin has gone.

 

Suppose we will find out how many return next season. If we compare the numbers then it will show roughly how many didn’t renew due to Edin.

 

Why are we fretting about budgets and having to increase season ticket prices drastically YET AGAIN?

All the beer mat calculations in the world won't guarantee we even make a penny out of it, meanwhile we have been told our budget is very sizeable indeed - it's just been wasted on a bloated squad who didn't want to play for the guy signing the checks.

That's all changed now; imagine how good we could be if that money is actually invested wisely, instead of frittered away.

Lads like Omari Patrick, Joe Riley, Jordan Gibson and Thomas Isherwood are going to be very difficult to offload (particularly Patrick, who can't even perform at one of the worst L2 clubs), but luckily some like Brunker, Hawkes and Clare are OOC in the Summer.

Hefele should be pretty easy to get rid of, and I have no idea what a Callum Gunner is, but presumably he's as good as gone too.

I pay for 4 people so can't afford £1000 plus the numerous away trips that we do. Sorry I think it's all about getting bums on seats and creating atmosphere...like Oxford...

 

No, just get rid, end of. Pay them off, can maybe classed as one off exceptions on balance sheet for this year and maybe record a loss, then if we spend more for next year are still within FFP or whatever is called? Not on our books. Sure @Dennis will have a view!!

 

But we would still need to find the cash to pay them off. That would have to come out of the income this reducing what we have to spend

 

I don’t think we should write off our young footballers just yet. We need to have them assessed not only by DH but also our new fitness coach, he appears to be working wonders. Those that have the right attitude an stay will be an asset. Miller is saying he had to go to bed after training because he couldn’t feel his legs!! But now he is reaping the rewards and doesn’t have to have a lie down because he is super fit. We must not judge our players before they have been properly looked at by DH and the rest of the team. Fitness isn’t the whole picture but once they are fit enough you can see potential. Yeovil is a league 2 club and I doubt will have the training resources we have now.

Many of the ''old tea drinkers' that you mock have been supporting this club through thick and thin for decades. They have just as much, probably more, right to watch their team than you or other younger fans.
Yes, we need the younger, noisier fans to create atmosphere but we also need bums on seats. Nearly doubling ST prices to £299 would drastically reduce attendances. It would price out many people, including many kids (the long term future fans) whose parents can't afford several lots of £299.
You may not remember what regular attendances of 7/8,000 in a 25,000 seater stadium feels like, but lots of us do and have no desire to go back to it, thank you very much.
