I'm all for someone going about their business and doing their job that they are employed to do. I just have no idea why you'd single them out for special praise especially when we have had successive seasons of under-achievement. Each to their own I guess

 

B**ll**ks. I'm all for having a go at Sparks or anyone else when it's deserved but I also believe in giving credit where it is due. I suppose Andy Cook isn't doing anything that anyone else couldn't do!

For me though real fans so to the away games and it’s no shock to me we do better away from home plus the atmosphere is better.

To answer you question I wouldn’t care. I go because I want to. I don’t look about at home and think wow what an attendance. I couldn’t care less if you went or not. That is up to you.

Ryan has improved over the last few months and I think a lot of that is the appointment of Mark Hughes. But the worry is he didn't do any research as to the style of play that was fundamental to the M H philosophy going forward. Ryan rushed into the appointment without the due diligence. A more seasoned CEO would have taken time to assess the credentials of anyone applying for the position. As it stands, Ryan may have got lucky on this occasion and promotion will be achieved either through automatics or play offs. But rash decisions more often than not do not work out.

 

Well to be honest currently as a whole we are underperforming and not where we should be.

 

That's a bit arrogant really, and symptomatic of the general view that we are too big for this league. Our squad is decent, but clearly Orient have a better first 11, and at present a better manager. We shouldn't fall into the trap that our squad is the best in the league. It's not.

As for off the field, Sparks has done some good things, ok cheap season tickets aren't his thing, but at least he is continuing them where many other new CEO's/ MD's wouldn't.

If you are saying we are underperforming on the field you are blaming the wrong man and might as well blame Jeremy Corbyn for the Tory Govt's handling of Covid for all your statement is worth.

If you are saying we are underperforming off field you are 100% wrong.

 

How am I wrong. We are miles away from Orient and that is embarrassing. Scrapping about for a play off spot currently with our squad is shameful.

We are where we are but we should be doing better. Most CEO's would continue the cheap season tickets because its the only thing the club has going for it. We own nothing and its the only showcase we have for ourselves.

Read your messages properly. I said if you thought we were underperforming off the field you were wrong, which you are, and if you thought we were underperforming on the field (which I didn't disagree with) then you need to look at Hughes not Sparks.

 

I'd wager that most CEO's would have stopped them on the basis that no other CEO (other than Huddersfield) have ever introduced them on the same scale as us.
