Riley, Jones and Wright told to look for new clubs

Great post - the only thing that infuriates me is peoples desire to be constantly updated. Not sure there's any need to do it, if Rupp has put money in to stop a potential admin and hasn't brought it up in the media it's because he doesn't want it to common knowledge that he was involved in a business of his being close to admin?

You know for a fact if he had come out and said I put x, y and z into the club to stop admin people on here would of been all over his back for trying to be the saviour.

 

Think it was his agent who made those comments .

 

The Club could publish full management accounts, bank rec and payroll monthly, together with Stefan's personal bank statements and they'd still be some moaning and demanding copies of petty cash vouchers

 

Honestly think if Graeme Tomlinson had stayed with us, he would have had a better career by virtue of the first team games that he would have got under his belt. Can remember his debut; when we had the ball, the only thing on his mind was the opponents goal and his confidence for someone so young was startling. I'm afraid Ben's problem was between his ears.

Rupp went into this in partnership with Rahic. It was made abundantly clear at the beginning that Rahic would be in charge of the day to day responsibilities of the club. Rupp put his faith in Rahic - as we all did - and sadly it didn't work out. However, Rupp has stepped up and taken significant action to address the problem when it was apparent Rahic had mismanaged the club into a sorry mess.

To oust Rahic took bravery and leadership. Rupp has also put money into this club and has promised to continue to do so. People need to understand that his investment must be sustainable and not reckless.

 

Thanks for that, Marshy. You will have noted the article appeared in the midst of problems and worries in October. Stefan said if things had not improved by January there would be backing. Things have improved on the playing front but the issues left behind by Edin need sorting, hence my comments regarding Stefan's financial input.

I do agree with your comment with regards him staying with us but you could understand why the lads head was turned, from virtually Bradford City reserves to Manchester United.
I believe at the time the scout from Manchester United came looking at Dean Richards and told Alex Ferguson about young Graeme ?.

 

You're correct with your comment with regards Stefan putting his faith in Edin but there were questions being asked from the very start, some with regards Phil Parkinson leaving and changes within our club, although Stuart got the club to Wembley there were comments (some called them rumours at the time) with regards the fall out between Edin and Stuart and the possibility of Stuart going, as you say Stefan backed Edin every time, thank goodness people with our club at heart told Stefan the truth and he believed them.

 

I was referring to this article too which sepcifically mentions the one million figure. Although it’s one of those “understands” points so could be anyone who’s said it.

Which could mean many things but was, understandably, interpreted by most of us to mean transfer fees. We now know that much, if not all, of it was required to deal with Edin's financial lunacy.

 

Surely if you're hoping to off-load players the thing to do is to announce it towards the beginning of the window. Waiting until we've got players in towards the end of the window and then tell everyone they're available would just be silly. Don't see this as we can't get anyone in until we get some out scenario. Just common sense. I dare say we'll have someone in long before these three find a club.

Useful for Fordy117 though, at least he's got something to spout off about after results have picked up.

 

@wetherbywhaler Didnt stefan come over long before edins demise and had his right hand man address/listen to employees concerns
