Apologies. Misunderstood the thread!! Applies to anyone who thinks Adams should be gone

 

Totally agree with this, he has been an integrel part of our recent decline and until we ship him out I cannot see us putting any kind of run together.
Ignoring the fact that he gifted them a goal, giving them the boost their recent away from probably required, but his distribution was simply awful yet again. He's good at shouting though, trying to make a scapegoat out of whoever is nearest to him.
I don't rate Hornby either but at least with him there is some consistency in how he commands his box and varies his distribution.

 

Every single Hartlepool player had far more control of what was going on around them compared to ours.

 

I'd love to see Hornby in the side but doubt it will happen. They may be much of a muchness but sometimes a change to the defence can make all the difference. RoD has had over a quarter of the season and we're struggling to keep clean sheets. Not all his fault but we're obviously lacking as a unit. We've changed every position in front of him, why not look at the keeper?

 

ROD is in the same position as Gilliead. He clearly has something significant "on Adams" that keeps him in the team. He is an absolutely bang average keeper, one of the worst we have had in living memory, with the exception of Robert Zabica.

Well if Hornby offers no competition Adams needs to bring someone in who will, a loan keeper in January ?.

I wouldn’t be expecting him to come out for that ball but he should have been central to the goals. Looking at the still he looks as if he’s too far to the right hand post.

 

I like ROD the person. He comes across a very likeable character. Problem is, and I’ve said this for a long time, he just doesn’t fill me with confidence that he owns his area. It’s not just about ability to manage crosses, it’s been the owner of everything in front of you. Unfortunately I just don’t see him owning his position and every defence we have had (and TBF to ROD, some of them have been appalling) don’t seem to trust him.

On the flip side, when Hornby played last season we looked much more assured.

Tonight Hornby should be playing. If nothing else what have we really got to lose?

Unfortunately for both I don’t expect either GK to be here next season. I don’t think we’ve seen enough first team from Hornby but clearly he’s not done enough to impress Adam’s so far either.

Doesnt command his box

 

Not the first time he has hid on his goal line behind a melee. He is the one who has the benefit of using his hands.He should be in front to command the situation.Also feel he could have made a better effort for the first by getting behind the ball and not diving around it.

 

Look on the bright side he will always be fit as not much chance of him catching anything

 

Richard O’Donnell is a true professional, he is loyal to Bradford City and a previous club captain. I find it intolerable that a certain few wish to target him. He certainly isn’t the problem causing our current problem, for one he plays at the opposite end of the pitch! Shame on you!

Loyal as in arrived on a decent contract despite being part of two relegations in the previous two years.

Then get relegated with us, continue to let in the same silly goals in season 2 as you did in season 1

Get offered a new renewed contract despite all of the above, even walking back into the side once fit despite your deputy residing over a run of one loss in what 12 games?

Carry on this season, with more pathetic goalkeeping, conceding regularly the same afore mentioned goals, near post, outside the box and from balls across the six yard box, AND YET still get picked.

I wonder why he is so keen to remain loyal, nothing to do with not a getting a gig elsewhere by any chance

 

O'Donnell may be a great professional and loyal, but he's crap and one of the worst keepers in the league with cardboard hands. Loyalty & professionalism are fantastic attributes, and I applaud them, but I don't want him anywhere near the 192 sq ft that he is paid to defend, in the same way I don't want Stuart McCall (the epitome of loyalty to BCFC, love from supporters and professionalism as a player) anywhere near our managers job ever again.

imagine how up we would be if we didn’t concede these daft stupid goals .......... defenders don’t know when to go for crosses or if they are to leave them.
Imagine having to play in front of that ????
Seriously our defenders should go for everything now because they simply cannot count on him to do the BASICS right.
