Totally agree with this, he has been an integrel part of our recent decline and until we ship him out I cannot see us putting any kind of run together.
Ignoring the fact that he gifted them a goal, giving them the boost their recent away from probably required, but his distribution was simply awful yet again. He's good at shouting though, trying to make a scapegoat out of whoever is nearest to him.
I don't rate Hornby either but at least with him there is some consistency in how he commands his box and varies his distribution.

The only one I rated was the Salford one, and wasn’t he a loanee and Wales international? We’d probably see more poor keepers if we actually forced them into making good saves instead of kicking it into the stands all the time. Maybe that’s why R’OD is so undercooked nobody can hit the target for him to practice lol.

Agreed about Afghans. We have made our choice in terms of management and he's go the credentials to hopefully back it up so we need to allow him to implement a long term plan and hopefully he can slowly turn us around and get us moving forward again.

That also applies to Adams, not just any Afghans we have supporting the club.

Any half decent team needs a strong spine. In Canavan, Songo’O and Cook we have the basics. What we lack is a strong keeper, an area that’s been sorely neglected, probably since we had Pickford on loan. ROD does not command his defence, nor his area. If the defenders had confidence in him clearing anything and everything, they could concentrate on their own jobs instead of his. Where Hornby pips ROD in my opinion, is communication and speed of thought and action. Quick releases to get the team on the move again. Whether one starts over the other is irrelevant because Adams has already decided that Hornby won’t start unless O’Donnell is injured or suspended.

Entitled to your opinion but I would have to disagree, take last night for example - their keeper did not make any saves of real note but what he did do is completely control his 18yd box AND vary his distribution (much to our annoyance at times). I accept that they had differing tactics to us but he just seemed to have far more control of what was going on around him.

This has not been an unusual occurrence this season, without trying to compare ROD with keepers you see once/twice a season how about comparing him with our other regular recent incumbents. Would you rate him better than say Ben Williams, Johnny Mac, Colin Doyle, Rhys Evans even Donovan Ricketts! For me every single one would walk in over him.

I didn't notice anything their keeper did except the very short goal kicks but based on last night Cullen is the best striker in the league lol

Perhaps in January Adams will go for Remi Matthews on loan from Crystal Palace? It worked at Plymouth.

Every single Hartlepool player had far more control of what was going on around them compared to ours.

Can't agree. Like all goalies at this level, he's made mistakes. But if you look at the bigger picture, ROD has made alot more goal bound saves and in the penalty area mop ups and pick ups than most goalies in Lg 2. Check out the stats.

He does get beat often, too easily. He has one of the worse save percentages in the division.

It might have been in the corner, but it wasn't a great strike by any means. Far too slow to get down to shots from outside the box.

He almost through another in the near post straight after
