Adding to McCall’s frustration was the arrival of a familiar face on the training ground, who Rahic had signed despite his coaching staff declaring he wasn’t good enough. “A week before Gordon came in, Lachlan Barr came in to train. Lachlan is a fantastic lad, really committed, but for our level wasn’t really good enough. We had him on trial the season before for a week – and all the staff thought he was a great lad, great attitude, but not good enough for a team getting out of this league. The next minute he’s turned up for training and he’s signed for six months. And yet we couldn’t get Gordon Greer over the line.”
clearly something isnt right

Well Edin put his life savings into the club so hasn’t now got a pot to piss in.
Without Rupp’s cash we’re pretty much screwed and in a worse position than under Lawn / RhodesRonnieBrown, The Evidence, Onside and 3 others like this. -
He also stated All bonuses were paid . The legal complicity of the bonuses not been paid and then completley denying it on BBC national radio would be huge .
Have you listened or did you attend the fans forum ? It will still be online somewhere .
Whilst I believe edin and the club have made some major errors I also don’t believe we need to constantly go over old ground when they have come out and denied some made
Up stories and people persist with no foundation to bring up rumours .where does the blame stop ? What does bring out a statement every week achieve . Even today the interview with Luke Hendrie doesn’t blame edin personally in anyway . A agreement couldn’t be reached between Burnley and Bradford city just the same as with Dennis and chesterfield . Not all transfers come off . The interview could have said anything but ended up been nothing maybe just maybe because it’s just a case of it didn’t work out for all parties .banbrotam, Solentbantam, RCarol and 2 others like this. -

I am sure Rahic has been guilty of some bad treatment of long serving personnel who in turn have spawned mischief.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Campbell's soup, Yorkieman, Ulysses S Grant and 1 other person like this. -
Rahic and Rupp could make a statement regarding the current perceived situation and say they understand and are taking steps move things positively forward, backed up by actions of course.
If the club goes backward long term they will lose their investment.bantam2708, The Evidence, Onside and 1 other person like this. -

For me, edin and Stefan have severely underestimated how much money they needed to spend both in terms of infrastructure and the first team.
Fact is we'll end up selling 5/6k less season tickets and spend 6 figures on the pitch meaning the playing budget will be cut again. If this is the case without investment then it's likely we'll be in a relegation fight next year. The Evidence, Bob, BoingBoing and 1 other person like this. -

In answer to your question I firmly believe to run a football club you should be in and around the stadium at every opportunity not doing business from afar and trusting others it's asking for trouble in my opinion. The Evidence, Leeds Bantam, Idlebantam and 1 other person like this. -

I can agree that sometimes journalists have their own agenda City fans or not. However, if this was the only thing that had happened I wouldn’t take too much notice. We hear one rumour after another, I have been going to watch City since I was a lass, and I can honestly say I have never ever heard as many negative rumours coming out of our club in all those years. Yes some of them will be fake I have no doubt, but it just keeps on coming, and you listen to the denials and I don’t believe them, but why don’t I believe them?
I welcomed our new owners with open arms, I knew they wouldn’t be throwing money at it, but they stated very clear ambitious targets. It was like music to my ears after all the dark years and they would build on what had already started.
Now I am left wondering what they are doing here.Utters0, Here's Johnny and bantam2708 like this. -

Lawn and Rhodes are an example of what can be achieved with positive leadership.
No one can deny the mess we were in when Rhodes became chairman; quite how he navigated those waters without the club actually sinking, I've no idea. By hook or by crook, we survived.
When Lawn came on board, we were on a terrible downward spiral. Yes, initially that fall continued; but when Jackson went and Parkinson came on board, Bradford City turned the tide quite dramatically; our achievements were and still are historic.
Yes you can say Parkinson was a god send - but Lawn and Rhodes did NOT mess up Parkinson's plan, and it paid off in spades. That's the positive leadership of which I speak.
Financially and structurally? Yeah, we were treading water, relying on cup runs, etc - but I'd take that over what we have now any day of the week.
Can it happen under Rahic and Rupp?
POSSIBLY - but there's no guarantee.
Is it happening right?
Absolutely not. Quite the opposite.Onside, Fools Gold and Park bantam like this. -
IMHO it is better to have sponsors you know will stick around through thick and thin rather than glory sponsors who ditch us the minute things go sour.

Out of the list above there are several projects that will primarily generate money.
Club Shop, + new office
Suites upgrade
1911 upgrade
I am not against generating money we need that, but it has to be when we can afford it, or ortherwise it will deprive your primary business of cash.
Pitch upgrade is a priority because it is hindering your ability to deliver your primary business and draining money away with maintenance costs.
New pitches at the training ground comes into the category as main Pitch.
Youth Academy, now this is admirable and a long term project as it cannot guarantee players will be available in the near future. If we can afford it without interfering in the primary business go for it.
New media team, I am presuming that is new members of staff, don’t have a problem with that either, I gather several staff have been sacked, so that will probably not have cost any further money.
I am waiting to see what we do in the summer, for me it is a crunch time for this club, get it wrong and we will find ourselves fighting relegation. We highly anticipate that we will have a reduced season ticket sales, and therefore just to standstill we will require more investment in the squad. I presume being business men they have a plan B for this scenario.
By the way, you forgot the new seats that were put in the lower main stand. Cheap and nasty and decidedly uncomfortable, I was not impressed.Bronco, MC Bantam and Fools Gold like this.
