As nothing has actually been proven, shouldn’t this thread be renamed “alleged racist incident” ??

Of course there is, but if the message was clearer as to where abouts this happened, people could step forward and make statements to say so.
East stand, I think that’s the Midland Road stand, but who really knows it as that?
If they said - an incident in block C of the Midland Road stand - looking for witnesses then they could probably learn more than from the wishy washy statement they have put out

Your second comment could be correct but not your first one.
Something happened as the player heard something, enough to stop and speak to the ref. Yes he may have misheard but he heard something

Maybe those people 20-30 people could dispel the accusation rather than you guess it didn’t happen?

What I found odd was that the game was stopped for around 4 minutes where nobody in the whole stadium really knew why.
If the incident happened in the midland road stand then it wasn’t obvious as there was no signs of any unrest. Usually in these cases the fans around the culprit would point them out to stewards if anything untoward happened, but there was nothing.

The club should have sent a load of stewards down to the area and spoken to fans there and then. Or maybe have pre printed leaflets to hand out as people are leaving the stand. Be a bit proactive if the ref stops the game rather than taking 24 hours to put out a press statement, at least then it looks like the club are trying when the league investigate

How can you dispel something if you haven't heard anything and have no idea what it is you're supposed to have heard or even where you're supposed to have heard it?

I think that is why the club have to be proactive when incidents do happen rather than waiting 24 hours to put out a vague statement. Chuck some stewards over to the front of the stand asking fans if they have heard anything, speak to fans as they are leaving etc so they can show to the league they have tried to check if anyone heard anything. If no one heard anything they fair enough but at least they can show they were proactive. Just seemed a bit slow off the mark, if it had been our player complaining then a statement would have been out straight after the match

Oh FFS. Talk about massive exaggeration. This is complete bollocks.

Thousands of people are harmed in all walks of life every single day by all sorts of other people. Domestic abuse, sexual abuse in families, gang knife crime etc etc.
Yet, about once a year, we get a report of someone being released from hospital who goes on to harm someone and there is mass wailing and gnashing of teeth, as though there is some perfect system that can accurately predict who is going to cause harm and who isn’t. Well guess what? There is no such system. And to prevent the occasional mistake we would have to incarcerate thousands of innocent people who’ve committed no crime, purely on the flawed assessment of massively risk-averse mental health professionals. Rates of Mental Health Act incarcerations have been steadily rising for years because of Ill-informed public fears of ‘dangerous nutters’ even though there is zero evidence of any rise in violent crime by people with mental health problems. Your perceptions are based on a massive myth, I’m afraid.

It was from Block C of Midland Rd, right in front of where they were taking a free kick. There can only have been 50 or so sat there so unless it was someone walking down towards the exit....you would think we have CCTV to see clearly....

    There were multiple incidents then

One lad in block c had an argument with Lee Brown twice, someone (or a few) were having a back and forth with Armani Little who was waiting to take the free kick, but I never saw anything with Bugiel, and Brown and Little were not aware either as they both asked the linesman why they were waiting and what was going on.

So there we have it, nothing happened.
The Wimbledon players were diving around all game I’m surprised the ref didn’t book Bugiel for making it up.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it feels like people are pointing to a different matter.

It must have been before that free kick, and the arguments that did happen.

I have a video of Armani Little slyly giving our fans tosser hand signs, but it's in good jest, so wouldn't want to share it unless it was helpful.

Only thing I noticed was when they had a free kick in second half injury time, and it was delayed for ages while the ref pissed about near the dugouts. We just assumed there was an issue with his microphone/headset gear or whatever it is the officials use to communicate with each other
