Well adverts are running on the Talksport was hate and points being deducted.

I fully would have expected Sparks to come out today and state that racism isn’t acceptable and anyone found doing will be banned for life.

The club clearly does need to do more as it’s bloody happening!!!!

Probably right but repeated offences by our supporters, home and away , will be stamped on eventually. Especially as national headlines bring the game and us into disrepute ?

 

I’m not suggesting the club is at fault, but let’s not escape the fact it’s the club that could be punished. “ Failing to control spectators” or whatever it’s called?

Racism comes from all sides, if you live in a high area with immigration like Bd8, you will probably find that out.

I agree that the person/persons responsible should face lifetime bans. I cannot believe that the 20-30 people surrounding this vile person didn't hear the racist slur. I also don't see that that club should be held accountable for 'controlling' these idiots. They couldn't possibly have foreseen this happening. Also, perhaps controversially, are we to see the game stopped for several minutes every time there is 'an accusation' of racial abuse towards a player? If so, where do we draw the line? How many times could a game be potentially delayed? This should be dealt with directly by the stewards/police.

 

I don't have any issue with that. I've been subjected to racism on numerous occasions from black and Asian people, on more than one occasion with violence, broken ribs etc. Unfortunately the term racism these days is a one way street and I can't stand the current narrative that it only works in one direction. Multiculturalism has dug us a deep hole that it's going to be very hard to get out out of. It's kicked equality out of the equation, which is what we should be aiming for. The current narrative just breeds entitlement which can't be questioned on one side and resentment on the other which can't be expressed, so please don't put me in a category that I don't belong in. I made the point because feelings are building all around us and at some point this issue has to be addressed as a whole and not as a unidirectional problem

 

I find it amazing that something has been said, loud enough for it to be heard and reported, but nobody near has pointed said person out.

No , never crossed my mind RT. There are some that think the club bears no responsibility in law, which is probably correct, but being members of the EFA/ FA we certainly do.

Those days are long gone where anything goes at a game. I no doubt , probably participated in it over 50 years ago?

 

No need to apologize, I did make a one side comment but we've been led down a path which stifles proper debate. I get that everyone should have an equal voice but we're in a situation where certain voices have been demonized by the MSM and everyone is shit scared to not tow the line

 

Is there a possibility that the 20-30 people in the vicinity didn’t hear anything because it didn’t happen?
Is there a possibility that the player misheard something that was said?
