Racist chanting towards our own supporter

It was used to show the extremeties of banning someone for life. A kid caught up in a heated moment makes a mistake, yet you are advocating punshing that kid for the rest of his life? We don’t punish murderers for the rest of their lives for the most heniuos crimes, apart from the most extreme cases.
Any time racism is mentioned people lose all sense of realism and this thread shows it.

Banning someone for life from something they enjoy isn’t a hardship? By all means if its a persistant offender then set a punishment that fits the crime. For a mistake in the heat of the moment? Nah.

Judging people by the colour of their skin and trying to accuse others of being racist in the same post makes you look pretty daft.

 

Like I said yesterday you are clearly a liberal type who, regardless of the offence, would like to give offenders more than one chance. In some circumstances that's plausible.

I don’t want to see anybody being subject to racist comments or chants and it is unjustifiable. We have not had this for some time. It appears to be a problem yet again or maybe it never went away. Football is not immune to what is happening to our society as a whole. The club no doubt will deal with it, but unfortunately it will not go away.

There is a lack of intolerance in our society, person on person violence, general abuse. In a nutshell a distinct lack of respect for each other as fellow human beings on this planet.

If you bring up your children and you have racists views, then your children will pick up on this and follow your lead. Until as a nation, we decide to actually educate ppl then this will just carry on. Educating children will not work if they are getting contradictory messages at home. Focusing down on racism will probably not work either, teach tolerance and kindness then we might start to eradicate all racism, sexism etc.,
