I read through the comments. My post wasn't specifically to the posts on this forum but it was also based on the fact people are asking for leniency for racist thugs. That's my opinion.

You can attack me all you want for thinking the way I do. I thought in 2019 we might be better than this. We obviously aren't.

 

Lifetime bans to attending City games for those found guilty of racist abuse is very appropriate.

Yeah we should insist they attend all games instead. That would be a far greater punishment.

 

So you would ban an 18 year old making a racist comment for potentially 50 years if said person lives to retirement age? 50 years for one comment? Because thats what you’re advocating with lifetime bans. A teenager caught up in the moment makes a rash comment and is punished for the rest of his life? What else do we ban them from? Public transport? Public places?

 

Their age is irrelevant. If they want to spout racist abuse in other areas of society then they run the risk of further punitive measures.
Are you saying a drink driver at 18 who kills someone is more worthy of a second chance than someone who is 50 who kills someone cos they should have known better?

 

Don’t think either would get a lifetime ban/prison

 

A drink driver who kills someone would not be banned for life from driving.

 

You seriously believe that a convicted drink driver who caused the death of a pedestrian/other road user would NOT be incarcerated?

The kid washing the car was Asian, the people that drive down Midland Road at silly speeds after games are Asian.
