Think the 10 years he spent in the top flight were enough to say the lad could play, but each to their own if relegations in a terrible squad make him a waste of money. Better make sure we never buy a relegated player again.

Bruno Rodriguez for me , think we paid half a million for the loan , managed two and half games or something like that, then skulked off back to France

Sorry mate the two don't go together, you've been supporting the club since the 1984/85 season 35 years I'd say during that time you can hardly say " I'm not one who is happy with mediocrity which is a trait of most City fans" because take the odd promotion/Cup run out and that is all we've seen as fans during those times, I can assure you the previous 25 years or so were hardly any better.

Yes I can, I never said I was happy with how we were performing. Let’s face it, we should be a Championship club in both size of the potential and the size of the city. Too many times I’ve got in arguments with fellow City fans who have the “we’re lucky to have a club” mentality.

As much as I take the piss out of the Geordies I live and work amongst, they’ll never accept the fact they’re mediocre and have the mindset that they should be bigger. I wish a few City fans would think like this.

But don’t worry, we could be division 10 of the west riding league and I’d still travel down the A1 zombie like for games with my kids because it’s in the blood. That’s doesn’t mean to say I’d ever be satisfied.

Yes he said he would try and right Rahic's wrongs and because he looks like he's being as good as his word I'm personally delighted.

I'll be delighted when we're in the Championship as was promised, well it was actually the PL but I guess I'm being lenient

As they say talk is cheap, after the first season when we got so near it looked possible, unfortunately the rest is history as they say.

I'd be happier if he sold up, I don't think his heart is in the club but as I posted earlier it's better than the alternative of him not funding the club.

This is pound for pound signings. You’re getting it confused with something else. Was he 1.5 million? A main stay of a side that survived against all odds in the premier league. His header alone in the game against Liverpool must have been worth 20 million bakc then.
So tell me, who was he one of the worst pound for pound signings? Baffling.

It’s done Newcastle wonders hasn’t it that mentality. How many major trophies they won in the last 30 years? Same as us I think.
It’s all about the right owners and manager. Nothing else comes into it. No matter how much fans moan and shout.

yes, difference is that Newcastle fans wouldn’t consider a player with 3 relegations on their CV as a “good player”.

Newcastle fans are *almost* as deluded as scum fans. They are ridiculously easy to wind up. My point being that they go fecking apeshite constantly about Mile Ashley as they are perennial strugglers and have got relegated twice (then walked away with promotion the next year), yet at the Bantams We just think “oh well at least we still have a club to support”

Still struggling to see the correlation here. Are they supposed to be successful by not accepting Mediocrity? Because they are far from it?

Fans are never the reason a club stutters or goes backwards, it seems to have become a nonsensical fact on here. Every fan wants to the the club progress, only those at the top can change it. Charlton and Newcastle have has protests for years, it’s not improved their situations one bit. The club should always be took to task and held accountable, but fans not moaning enough or calling players crap unless they carry you to promotion is not a reason we do crap. Our fans didn’t demand under Richmond yet he brought a period of success, absolutely nothing to do with fans standards.
