Morecambe have just released all out of contract players due to not having budget to offer any at moment.

Unless they are taken over they will struggle. Only 5 contracted players at the moment.

 

You can rule out the latter bit about rupp. Why would he spend now he wants out.

We will have a budget big enough to escape this league whether it’s used wisely or not is yet to be seen.

 

It looks a really tough league next season. It feels as though getting in the play-offs again would be an achievement.

Yeah I’d expect Morecambe to go down along with Crawley.

C’mn it has not been the best this year and to see the likes of Carlisle go up, it hurts. It is now over to the management team and Rupp. We need much better players and a recognition that they must not pull back. We have literally pushed up our fan base into unseen heights in this Division. Now recognise where things went wrong and put it right. We must have the right temperament of players, that is what gets you promotion.
Let’s face it, we bottled it all through the season. We need strong minded as well as talented and capable players.
Sort the midfield and give Cook a partner.
Yes it will cost money, but surely with a combination of sponsors and Rupp we can do this.

Mike Ashley certainly has the financial clout to take us forward not sure Darragh has much as Rupp, although Darragh would be far more involved on a day to day basis.

Darragh has openly said he would invest £2M in the playing squad, straightaway, to get us up.

It's much easier for the club to be sustainable in League One.

 

Yeah but Newcastle’s ambition was Champions League, ours is just to be a stable Championship club.

He sponsored their shorts last season and was apparently in takeover talks this season but they never went anywhere as the current owners wanted to sell to a 20 year old property tycoon called Sarbjot Johal but that has never happened

 

My post was really about each individuals wealth and saying I'm not sure Darragh tops Stephan's wealth, yes we've heard plenty from Darragh saying if he was to look at buying another club Bradford City would certainly be on his list.
Maybe if he was not involved at Posh after doing due diligence at Valley Parade he might realise as a football club we have few assets, and although it didn't put Rupp off I'd say Darragh is a very different animal with regards owning a football club.
