Where are you going to play it up North that is available at very short notice? Manchester and Liverpool will be out of the question as there is a game going on at Old Trafford and Goodison Park. You might get away with it this season but how do you arrange something if the play off teams like last year were Northampton, Swindon, Port Vale and Mansfield or the season before when it was Morecambe, Newport, Tranmere and Forest Green.

No atmosphere and this is a dreadful game with poor/no quality

Fluke goal sums up quality so far

Man Utd are at home today and even if the police allowed 2 games in Manchester The Etihad is set up for concerts now. Anfield is undergoing redevelopment so out of use. It would be impossible to arrange a play off final with at most 3 weeks notice plus all of the EFL staff, broadcasters would have to go from Wembley, to Newcastle and back to Wembley so it wouldn't work practically.

They seem to have enough staff and equipment to cover 2 or 3 games a day on sky and every game on match of the day.
We have enough stadiums around the country with 40,000 plus capacity to organise all this before the season starts.
Wembley is not fit for purpose if the crowds are smaller and looks so poor.
Travel ,accommodation and costs make it very difficult for northern based clubs, why does everything have to be centred on the capitol .

Very much like the second goal Reading got at their place in the FA Cup reply, even at 6'9" Holy couldn't get anywhere near it.

If my team gets through to a play of final I don't want to be going to Old Trafford, Etihad Stadium, St James Park or even Bellend Road, and I think the players would agree.

Stockport would have beaten us comfortably. Big pitch is Wembley, and they're far more mobile than we are.

The EFL don't have the staff to be moving everywhere, the operation is huge to do 3 games in a weekend. How do you pick a stadium when you don't know who the teams will be until 1 week before? The cameras in the Premier League are paid for by the Premier League who have a much higher budget than the EFL. It is out national stadium so right that big games like this are picked. For a lot of players this is the only chance they will get to play at Wembley. When we played Northampton the attendance was 47,000 so to fit in that crowd you have 9 stadiums, 3 of which are in London. Stadiums like this won't reservere a date on the chance their stadium might be needed as they will be getting them ready for pitch work or concerts if their season has ended.

I understand what you are saying Dave, but for me it's about the game and possible promotion, rather than the stadium.
Maybe we should have had the nations national stadium more central .

That was never going to happen.

Why would playing at Wembley not deliver your above comments ?.

I have never liked the Playoff's and holding the final at Wembley is just to make money to pay off the debt of building the bloody thing. Its just an expensive, souless modern bowl in my opinion.
I know the playoff's are here to stay, but a team that finishes in 7th place getting promoted over a team in 4th, just does not sit right with me. Even though we have benefited from it in the past.
Poor game today, just waiting to see Leeds beat Spurs and still go down , hopefully.

Keep it at Wembley, but announce which matches are on which days at the start of the season and no silly 1.30 kick offs.
