That's quite possible and doesn't surprise me at all. The PL clubs effectively have first dibs on young talent under the EPPP arrangements and therefore probably have already hoovered up the crème de la crème of the youngsters. If it is the case, it looks like the blues stole a march on their local rivals!

Rupp keeping us afloat ain't a like a favour from your mate, he owns the bloody club. Imagine getting praised for trying to keep your own business afloat. Rupp might not like the fact but he's part of the reason we're back in league 2.

Being the owner also provides the opportunity to sell at any point - and as we all know, the grass ain’t always greener.

He’s backEd this club to the tilt (financially), more so than the previous custodians. We’re down here due to Edin and poor day-to-day management; Rupp has just been there to pick up the pieces and to be slagged off at every given opportunity.

    Sad, really.

I am fairly neutral about things at present. Perhaps 6/10 towards positive. In regard to Rupp, he is maintaining his assets. He is apparently ‘loaning’ not ‘gifting’ money to maintain it. So he hopes to recoup his outlay, if not profit at the end of his tenure.

These are strange times for everyone involved in Football. I guess I am uncertain as to the future. I will always support my club on the field, although in the last relegation season I left before the final whistle (Coventry for sure) which I had never ever done before.

Going back to Rupp, his money allowed Rahic to get his hands on this club. You must query if he had his accountant/lawyer to complete ‘due diligence’. Apparently their bank introduced them, as they had no previous relationship. So the fact that we are ‘down here’, is not only down to Rahic, Rupp cannot abdicate his responsibility.

Nothing in what he has said or done makes it look like Rupp is going or even wants to sell at the moment so we wait and see if it can start to be turned round on the pitch the managers have been supported with decent budgets and players signed when asked for a turn in fortunes would alter most (not all) opinions

Backed it to a hilt is a massive exaggeration. He will get his money back from the club and has taken most of the Mcburnie money to cover previous losses.

I find it worrying. He is the kind of owner that Gary Neville said shouldn't be in football and why the rules need looking at.

He is using the club as a bank. Loaning the club money and more than likely charging interest. Not improving the club in anyway off the pitch.

He afford not to sell and not to show up(seems he is hardly there now)

He's as bad as Edin in my eyes! But hey so can't see things and can't fault the club.

I know Rupp isn't perfect, but I do believe he is trying to do the honourable thing. We all know he has no interest in football but at this moment in time we have no viable alternative. It's really sad that both Rupp and Rhodes probably don't want to be here, but for now they are standing by the club until Fordy's mystery syndicate turns up with a viable offer

Ryan spoke about interest in the club but it didnt come to anything, that sounds very much to me like a Fordy thing, all bluster ;).

As the owner, he cannot simply sell at any point as you suggest. First and foremost is that he needs a buyer who is willing to buy the club at Stefan's asking price. Without a willing buyer, he won't be selling the club at any point.

Stefan already has around €6 mill of his own money invested in the club from the original purchase and having originally funded most of Rahic's share. At the time, we were a League 1 club with no assets other than a few potential valuable sell-ons from Wells, Wisdom and McBurnie. Since then we've been relegated and the sell-ons have been and gone. There isn't much left in the asset bucket now. I really can't imagine somebody being willing to pay Stefan what he originally spent in buying the club for a League 2 version of the club with no assets to speak of. The notion of him selling the club at any point without incurring a loss is for the birds. The only crumb of comfort for him is that the new salary cap will inevitably reduce the club's costs going forward and possibly make it profitable thus slightly more attractive to a buyer. We'll have to wait and see whether that encourages any potential buyers to come forward. I can't see it happening in the near future without Stefan making a significant loss.

Maybe not, but he could have been. I regularly have Zoom chats with family in London and California. The latter is slightly further away than Bavaria. All the other participants were in different locations.

He might be a lovely guy, and he might have delusions of granduer in promotion. But, your the major investor by some distance and you let your only other investor go bat shit crazy without even knowing? Id expect way better from a very successful business man. If we do manage to go up we are back to where we started in some ways, hardly a major achievement. He's probably as disgusted as we all are at how the clubs seasons have gone in his tenure, but he's partly responsible for it. He milked the Wembley playoffs, he must also take the criticism.
