If Terry Butcher lost half of his left arm in a challenge he'd have used the captain's armband has a torniquet.

 

One of the most depressing things about this is, as far as I'm aware none of his team mates called him out on his behaviour.

Imagine that being tolerated in a team with Gary Jones, Michael flynn, Andrew Davies, Stephen darby etc etc

Someone should have confronted him

 

Maybe we are directing our anger at the wrong player. Remember, the reason this all happened was because Captain Caddis went off 'injured' just because his elbow bone was poking through his skin. Pussy. At least when O'Connor suffered the unbearable pain of feeling some loose stitching through his sleeve, he was brave enough to deal with the injury on the pitch and carry on playing. What an example to be setting to the other players #captainfantastic

Collared him sneaking onto the bus and his story changed twice from hurting his arm to stitching coming away. Told him straight that in 40 years watching City this was the most spineless, gutless disgraceful team in memory. Told us club was a shambles and had been all season!!

 

No, I'd say that showed they cared. The armband incident strikes me as the complete opposite.

Sorry but there are absolutely no excuses here. Regardless of whether it was the right thing to do in giving it to him today. He took it, wore it and then discarded it like the petulant prick that he is. He has been shocking all season and what he did today should ensure we never see this pathetic individual play for our club again

In no way am I defending the disrespectful w****r but whoever decided (Drury??) that he should be given the armband halfway through the game after he had the captaincy taken off him should not bother turning up for work on Monday either, absolutely baffling decision......

 

You can now understand why David Hopkin left in such a hurry.

 

To think of all the fantastic captains we have had over the years who were proud as punch to wear the armband and this prick has the nerve to do that. To say i'm furious is an understatement

If Akpan finished the game wearing the same arm band, its pisses away any credibility of his statement. The amount of goals we've conceded recently he needs dropping anyway. Get the other O'Connor in, he can't do any worse. Drop Miller from the squad. Play Mellor at CB. They genuinely cant be any worse than the current incumbent's at centre half
