My crazy ex blonde cow lived in Low Moor from my 20's .... that's a good enough reason to stay at Valley Parade ha ha.

Saying that Wibsey was always a good night out .... just don't go for after match drinks if your a Rotherham fan

Its not that far from Low Moor station to Osdal stadium on paper, but it’s up hill and would be a bit of a pain for old folk. I’ve never tried it but did used to walk the other way down to Oakenshaw a few times. It takes longer than you think - and that was down hill.

Low Moor Station is also tin pot - only a few platforms and it’s not on many lines as its just a stop off point for Leeds, and you go via Bradford Interchange.

I suppose the big question is how many of our fans commute to matches via train? How many are via car?

Odsal held crowds in excess of 20,000 in the bulls heyday. The stadium is not a problem to get to.

weirdly Bulls fans moaned same about having to travel to VP. Suppose it all depends on where you are coming from and what you are used to

Regardless of what used to happen in the Bulls/Wibsey heyday, where would several thousand City supporters be able to have a pre match drink within 10/15 minutes walk of the ground if we moved to Odsal?

No it is the ‘stadium’ which is the problem!

If you are talking about the 'stadium' itself then that would be a new build. The argument in this thread was the the location was a problem to get to, 20,000 crowds albeit the best of 20 years ago suggests the location isn't a problem for people to get to.

Not just on North Parade. There are other pubs within easy walking distance of VP.

Sizeable amount of people walk in from BD2 area, like me and me old man used to before I moved away. Pint at the Bolton then have a mosey on down to VP, which we did since I was old enough to walk. Didnt seem half as far once I was old enough to have a beer and my legs stopped being so little haha

And how many of those are accessible by public transport from the north of the city without numerous changes or long walks?

    That wasn’t the question.
You asked where people could get a drink within a 10/15 minute walk of Odsal and I gave you 6 options.

Or Luton. Been there? Best bet is to keep your doors locked when driving through it. And they are possibly on the verge of Premiership football playing in a 10.5k capacity stadium, one mile from the city centre.

We have played at Odsal before with big crowds after the fire along with Elland road who made us very welcome and Leeds road, Personally without a complete rebuild Odsal is not the best place
