I think experienced strikers do well in league two. Look back over top scorers in last few seasons and a fair few 30+ in there.

 

Age is completely irrelevant if your football IQ is higher than the level you are playing, I give you Jamie Cureton as an example.

 

You are so right with your statement.
Game time is so valuable no matter what age you are.
Both Donaldson and Vaughan have been round the block a few times but I would take a calculated guess and say they are both still physically fit to turn out on a Saturday afternoon and give the young defenders of any opposition the run around.

 

Donaldson is a very talented footballer the question is like Scannell he has had so many injuries can he reproduce the form he shown in the past

 

LOL, Nothing against him in L2, just we paid circa 4M for him, and he didn't do it in the Championship. Suffice to say Hippo Head preferred the dream pairing of Vaz Tê & Carlton Cole

We are being linked with Daryl Murphy if that happened we would have a very old forward line

 

Would prefer Daryl Hannah and she's even older

 

My guess is Donaldson and Vaughan coming in means Doyle will be off and we'll sign two younger ones with pace. I'd be happy with that.

Vaughan won't come cheap. I think it's highly probable Doyle will be on his way if Vaughn signs and like 2708 says, either get a couple of younger, cheaper 'prospects' or loans in.

 

Young forward on loan I reckon. Although that will probably rest on whether Patrick and McCartan are still here.

McCartan clearly didn't want to be here, but it's a new regime now. He might have a change of heart like Marshall did. Not that I'm fussed.

 

I'd like us to keep Doyle at least until the next window to see how he can gel with any new incoming forwards...
