He stays for me. He wasn't the right candidate back in February but the decision was made.
I honestly see nothing more in this season than mid table, possibly lower upper half.
Until we get drive, a plan and an owner whom wants to be here, its hard to see us not treading water, so swapping the manager just feels like another chapter of the Bradford City merry go round.

The trouble is new managers are usually appointed after the previous manager has been sacked for poor results poor recruitment and often because the club is in trouble.
This means appoints are often rushed and ill considered I have long argued when appointing managers the club should ignore the fans clamouring for so called big names and instead do what big business does which is interview as many people as possible. Explore their philosophy and How keen they are in managing the club. Also talk to people who have had dealings in the past.
The time frame for doing that suggest it should be towards the end of the season whilst acknowledging that can’t always be possible.
So next time let’s appoint the best man for the job not necessary a familiar name club legend or even a previously good footballerStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Fools Gold, bantamdave41, Rogered Tart and 3 others like this. -

Simon Parker can't/doesn't question the in's and out's of the club, we have the same main sponsors, we put in rubbish performances @wetherbywhaler will defend them, Rhodes needs to leave - says hes leaving but he's still here. Rupp owns the club but acts like he doesn't give a damn about it but ringfenced from abuse.
It really is a question of who really has the clubs interests at heart because it's a mess! People just need to start being honest. It's not good enough. McCall we love him but he isn't a good enough manager and needs to leave.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... SMc himself has said he was happy with the squad as the transfer window was closing. That was despite there being some headroom in the salary cap and funds being available to do further strengthening if he'd wanted. Given what he could have done differently, the squad in its enirety is imo SMc's responsibility and he should be judged accordingly.bantamdave41, Captain Grumpy, Manningham bantam and 3 others like this. -

Forest Green, Carlisle, Walsall, Cambridge all got in touch with various agents over the summer saying they were willing to spend a little bit more this pre-season as they saw it as a great chance to capitalise on the indifferent summer as it was their best chance to get out of the division for a long time.
Salford, Mansfield and Bolton put the money in before the salary cap because they don't want to be in this division either.
what did we do? potter around, say we mean business, say we've got money, let players go and not replace them, make excuses around the salary cap and 'clubs not paying fees' etc, etc, etc. say it's difficult to find players, we've got an iPad and wyscout etc, etc, etc.
we are amateur. no bones about it.

For the love of God Stuart, admit you haven't got a clue how to save us from relegation and do the decent thing and walk now. Dont be seen as the club legend who took us out of the football league after 117 continuous years of membership.

There can't be another club in the land who would sit 20th in League Two and be so blasé about the managers job just because of what he did as a player. Defies belief.Inspector, Idlebantam, Manningham bantam and 3 others like this. -

Waaaayy too early for that but he has to take responsibility and we as a fan base have to stop making excuses for him.

Aim the anger where its needed. The very top of the club. No direction, no plan, no ambition, no leadership.
