Face it, the whole midfield and strike force went missing at Wembley especially Wyke

Yet and still played the past of the game to put Billy Clarke through that he should have scored from.

I will rephrase it’s been a long day back in Bradford.
In what was the pivotal moment of the match Clarke won the ball in a tackle and passed to Marshall. Clarke raced the length of the field to take a return pass and brought a great save from the keeper. It was a miss but there were extenuating circumstances.

Mark played well at Wembley especially in the first half, if you read the national newspaper reports still available online they all make special mention of his contribution. Someone wrote on this thread he was invisible in the final, it wasn't what I remembered so I checked others thoughts on the game. If Edin reads this my advice is you won't easily get another impact player like Mark and I would see how the land lies now a year after he left because he wanted to be near his family. You never know.

From what I recall Marshall had great season but on the whole his service was shocking. Of his 261 crosses I bet 250 were pants. Then since he scored his first wonder goal he was shooting from anywhere and often nearer the corner flag than the goal. This isn't knocking him. He was our stand out player. But to me he wasn't THAT good. Just my opinion.

As I say not wanting to knock him but someone posted to had 7 assists. He saw so much of the ball he should have had many more. At times his decision making was awful. But I agree he did have the X factor that season and his effort and tracking back was top drawer. From what I recall anyway

What do mean by he wasn't 'that good'? What are you basing it against?

I was meaning that he could have had a spectacular season rather than just good. His crossing was generally poor and often too late......From what I remember

I'd have him back but can't see him coming back
But you never know with what is going on in the big city regarding knife crime murders and shootings he may be able to persuade his family that it's safer up here to bring his family up

Don’t understand people who wouldn’t have him back because of his age. He hasn’t lost his legs in a year.
He was by far our best player in his second season, I think he thrives on being the focal point. He’s comfortable with both feet, can cross a ball, goes past a player, has pace and chips in with his fair amount of goals and assists. Literally everything Gilliead didn’t do last season.
He’d be a brilliant signing, but location might be a problem. But I can’t imagine he’s been a fan favourite anywhere like he was with us so he might be tempted to return.

Go on Park, I’ll bite. How many was this ‘plenty’ that you refer to.

I’ll even give you a clue. It was the same amount as the often derided (by you), Nicky Law and 1 more than Tony McMahon and Billy Clarke.
