Do we know if Turnbull was sacked because he wasn't doing his job, or did he leave (get paid off) because he's not needed due to Adams wanting control over recruitment?

This new drinks partnership, makes me even more certain that Rupp and Sparks think they are on Dragon's Den. Have you seen the bumf on the drinks website? Good luck to the fella, and great he's getting distribution, but its a cut throat business is the drinks industry. Lets hope we give him the leg up he needs.

    That’s what caused the delay.

Club statement….going in a “different direction”

“Lee is a friend of our football club and will always be welcome back at Valley Parade. We have parted on good terms, and I know he is right behind the club moving forward.”

    Read into that……….

Was he ever actually "employed" by us or just on a consultancy basis ?

Well for me if you slag off a signing and the recruitment process, you should be able to put forward some names otherwise your argument holds no water. I know other people have a different view.

'Going in a different direction' sounds like an alternative break up line to 'it's not you, it's me'.

He will probably be on a 6 month rolling contract, tops , so parting of the ways won’t cost much tbh.

Pay me 80 grand a year then and I'll pop some names in here next time I criticise a signing.

Here are the strikers in the top scorers in League Two who moved in the Summer:

    1. Luke Armstrong
    2. Harry Smith
    3.
    4.
    5. Andy Cook (tick)
    6. Jamie Proctor
    7.
    8. Tyler Burey (loan)
    9. Freddie Sears
    10. Offrande Zanzala

And did you know the three players (3, 4 & 7) who weren't available in the Summer are all at FGR and have all been there a couple of seasons

yeah, but to be scrupulously fair, there was a delay of over a week getting him assessed. It wasn't until the weekend before the deadline that it was confirmed he would be out for a while.

For it to work you need a DoF people respect, like Barry Fry at Posh. And the coaches coming in need to accept transfers aren’t part of their remit.

Adams doesnt strike me as just a coach. I think he wants a say in everything, quite rightly given his track record. I think as soon as Sparks saw what he did at Morecambe and learned of his interest he was a front runner for our job, even if he wasn’t certain to like the set up as it was.

Adams and Sparks probably agreed to give it a go under the current structure but unsurprisingly, conflict has arisen, so Sparks has backed the manager.

i think we need to listen to Adams, back him in January, and we’ll go up.

we’re a striker short for me, the rest of our weaknesses we can get away with unless serious injuries strike at once.

He isn't bloody Pep and do you understand that even Pep doesn't have a say in everything. This isn't 1950's.

We need more than just to listen to Adams to go up. We have a shite owner and a novice CEO.

Based on the whole discussion about continuity planning when a manger leaves. This smacks in the face of that. Strange decision.

I'm worried that Sparks has been bossed around by a strong character who probably won't be here in 36 months time

But for that matter I'm worried neither will be here in 36 months time

Adams here in 36 months.... I'd be happy if he was here next season.
