Did anyone see the graphic on 'chances created' this season, during the Vale Game?

2 players were tied in 2nd/3rd place on 36 chances. Whoever was 4th had 35. 5th place had 34. Top of the charts was Callum Cooke on 51. 15 clear of second place. And yet we struggle to score goals - its clear where the problem lies.

Definitely think we need an attacking midfielder who can score goals. The amount of times Cooke, Watt, Gilliead get in advanced positions to score, yet choose to give the responsibility to someone else, squandering opportunities this season (or even simply missing) has been criminal. Were desperate for a Sarcevic type player who'll create, drive forward and score from midfield. Id like to see any of Evans, Gilliead or even Watt moved on to make room for that type of player.

Striker wise, Lavery has to be the forward we try and move on to make room for a better option. Even if he stays, I still think we need a 4th goalscorer. A player who can play off of Cook.

Threlkeld hasn't impressed at RB so an upgrade there wouldn't go a miss. FCD might be chosen here, or Foulds, yet I think a natural attacking RB would be better.

A CH to improve on Kelleher seeing as Staunton isn't fancied, to challenge and cover for injuries.

With the younger fringe players out on loan, and with some smart dealings, id like to think 4 more players of first team quality has to be the minimum we need to be looking at

Move along people... Nothing to see here.

There will no investment in the team.. and no transfers in coming. Only out goings because we're not in the promotion hunt. Balancing the books is the priority.

But we really really really promise next season will be different.

Comments like this always make me laugh, don’t get me wrong it was a very good game of football. But full house, against a big club two leagues higher in a one off game. Do you expect them to replicate that week in week out? Look at the National League table and have a think about it. Even then their performance was littered with defensive mistakes worse than our terrible ones. Do you make opinions on all footballers based on such a small sample size?

Central midfield is a big concern for me if we continue to move Songoo back.
Sutton runs around a lot but doesnt grab the game by the scruff of the neck like a midfielder should and watt seems a little lightweight and maybe not the right player when the chips are down.

As stated striker is needed but only if we get rid of one or play two up top.

Whoever we sign we have to make sure they have a good record with injuries. Remember Parkys days it was usually similar xi every week.

Uyllses is just expressing an opinion. It's up to the club to persuade the player's agents to get them another club, especially if they aren't going to get a new contract.
Yes but like the players when it comes letting an owner go it makes sense to have a replacement lined up.

Look at who Stockport have played since Crankshaw went there before declaring him the next Messi.

Don't think anyone is declaring him the next Messi, but 4 goals and an assist is a decent return in the time he's been there. An error of judgement on our part to let him go and should really have kept him till January but hey these things happen.

There's very little difference between league 2 and the national league, Stockport showed last night with some of the football they played. Only have to look at the teams that come up to see they more than hold their own.

Probably teams very similar in quality to Barrow, Hartlepool, Crawley and Stevenage. All teams we’ve failed to beat this season.

Just checked the club's web site and yes, you are correct Dennis. For some reason I was under the impression that both had signed until January. Blast, looks like both will be here until the summer so unless we can moved either or both on, we're stuck with them!
Was hoping for a couple of replacements! : unamused:

It won't matter to you as you'll not be purchasing a season ticket will you, having little positivity about the club what's the point.

I agree there is very little difference at the top end, and a lot of very good players, but at the bottom there is a massive gap with teams like Altrincham and King Lynn, Dover & Maidenhead.

Don’t start this lot off with chances created and football stats, lol. Its like Jurassic Park on here….. “The only stat that matters is the score” etc.

……but you are right. We create more chances than anyone in the league. The one and only position (given the squad number limits) we should be concentrating on is striker.

Whether its a highly rated young kid on loan, a player out of favour from a higher level (or even like Cook at Mansfield last year), a player in a foreign/obscure league (please not another Brunker) or a player on the up from the conference (unlikely given the money), just please, for the love of christ, increase our goal output somehow and start tucking these chances away.

When there is something to be positive about Bradford City, I'll be positive. X

Think that summary is spot on, but not sure how much cash interest there will be in watt - after the Hull/Hudds links preseason he’s not kicked on. Still, we’d be foolish to let him go for nothing.

In reality i think we’ll maybe see two new faces arrive. Attacking mid and striker.

Not disputing that, but as a large % of your posts are negative/anti Bradford City I was curious to know if you would still be supporting (in your own strange way) next season by purchasing a season ticket.
Not sure your second comment is true, if you class not posting after a good result as being positive we'll have to disagree, but you're not by yourself on that one.
