Don't Brentford play the numbers/stats game and have a coach who gets given players to coach. They have a structure and stick to it. Something Bradford just don't do.

 

The transfer window could have been worse Derek Adams signed David Goodwillie when he was Plymouth's manager.

 

Derek has somehow achieved to make our goalkeeping department weaker this window. You couldn't make it up. Bass has been awful since the first game.

 

Apparently Delboy has been watching him for a long time and come to the conclusion he's better than Hornby.

I think we needed a better keeper. But it wasn't a priority and aside from his first game, Bass has looked no better.

Going into this window, we needed a proper Centre Back, Right back and Striker. There's room to say we need a midfield general and better winger, but if we'd just signed quality in those 3 positions, we'd be in a much better place.

The window was a poor one, and reflects the broken nature of the club. Owner, CEO, Manager. We have the wrong people in all 3 positions.

Let’s start with ownership because the other two are replaceable at the drop of a crisp.

What is the name of the person willing to invest circa £4m in purchasing the club from Stephan Rupp, THEN invest say another £1.5m on recruitment.

How would I be expected to know the names of multi millionaire candidates who'd be interested in buying the club?

I've no idea. But that's not how it works is it? Either Rupp actively wants out (or could be forced to want out) in which case there are contacts and organisations in the game that can actively seek out interested buyers, or he doesn't want out and needs to start putting a little more focus onto whats going wrong and take action to put it right. If he's going to be absent, he or Sparks needs to make moves to get some extra help in place for Sparks. Someone who's a capable, strong and experienced leader who can start to run the club properly and implement some properly structured ambition that thinks about growth rather than the simplistic view of 'sustainability'

How many offers is Rupp receiving that we never hear about?

When WAGMI went public they got threatened with court action.

I'd suggest there is interest in the club but Rupp is asking for an unrealistic fee.

Starve the club of money. Make Rupp put his hand in his pocket and we'll see how quickly he drops his demands.

 

You seem desperate for owner names Kevin despite being told by a number of posters that most takeovers are out of the blue.

Since you are adamant however I’ll go first, Mike Ashley. Not liked at Newcastle, but they’re a club far higher than us. He has experience in football, wealth and is looking to invest in a club.

Mark Lawn, never wanted to sell although probably to much water under the bridge. As we are now self sustainable money is no longer an issue however.

Fan owned, again like with Lawn we are self sustaining anyway so no money needs injecting, we’d likely have a bigger budget also as I think there would be an uptake in season ticket sales to support the club and get behind it if it were fan owned. Worked for Pompey at this level, they packed the stadium out and got bought out in league 1. Unlikely but not impossible.

Or a consortium led by someone such as David Baldwin as has been rumoured before.

Any of those would give the club a fresh start away from someone who has dragged the club down the footballing pyramid.

I'm not sure understand the point Kev. I can't see why anyone on here would have access to know who'd be in a position to buy the club. Thats not to say its not a viable option though. Other clubs attract new ownership all the time. I know loosely, of at least 2 previously interested parties who were priced out of doing a deal. There has been interest previously.

 

We aren’t an attractive option either at the moment. Dwindling in league 2 with very little assets and an owner wanting to recoup what he paid which is unrealistic. If I was a multi-millionaire looking to develop a club then Bradford wouldn’t be at the top of my list.

 

What are the names of those people who are going to spend £200k on buying your house and putting £15k in to renovate it to their own taste?

I wouldn't know, to be honest, but he got in because George was suspended.

If he's been 'superb' like you suggest, you'd think he'd keep his place.

 

And that hits the nail on the head sustainability has become a dirty word on here replacing deficit. Get used to it because it’s nailed on when we get new owners the club will be run on similar lines
