    I read he was sacked by Joey Barton due to “disciplinary issues”. For Barton to be saying that I dread to think what happened. So it’d be a no from me without knowing a lot more about the bloke!

    Good player , no doubt about it. Obviously carries a lot of baggage. I am all for giving people a second chance, but do we need someone who might cause upset in a squad that can be really fragile, especially if joey barton ,got rid because of discipline.

    I'd take him until the end of the season.

    Probably wouldn't keep him longer than that, seemingly too much baggage nowadays, but would he be an improvement on our current strikeforce? 100%.

    He's had his second chance and blown it, that's why Barton of all people has decided enough is enough. If that doesn't send out a clear signal to steer well clear I don't know what will.

    a thousand times no. After how much embarrassment players with bad attitudes have caused us (Vaughan one of the latest), and folks think we should go for another one in the same mould. Also, values.

    If you are going to continue playing the formation you have in the last two games I'm not sure you need a striker who scores goals per say. IMHO you need one who can hold the ball up and then better options from the 3 behind him, someone who can both be creative and break forward in the number 10 role and some quicker more lethal options in the wider roles

    Novak is not a better player than Evans. The disciplinary stuff is a worry but let's not kid ourselves, ability wise Evans is better than anything we have.

    We should forget about Evans. Just because he's suddenly
    available we seem to think he would be the answer to our
    situation. We don't know how good our dressing room is and
    performances may suggest all has not been well. BRE could be
    disruptive due to not being picked when we had other options
    but his performances were clearly the problem.

    If Evans was signed how would the other players react? It's not
    about what fans want, they don't have to work with him. Hopefully,
    we will be more attractive having shown an improvement on
    the pitch,albeit 2 games, and players may well want to come especially
    with a new manager in place.
