He needs to get his head down and produce, his career is littered with injuries and possibley questions with regards his attitude the number of clubs he's been at, without doubt he's no shrinking violent and as he proved with us at times can be very vocal picking up silly yellow cards.
As you say he's on good money if Tranmere want him make an offer no player is irreplaceable.

How would players we signed before the cap came into effect screw us? my understanding of the cap is it doesnt affect players at the club before the cap comes into force, which means sitting and waiting for it to come in is just screwing ourselves anyway. It also looks like its going to get challenged fairly substantially in the courts if they havent consulted the PFA, so again pandering to regulations that dont actually exist yet doesn't make any sense to me at all.

That's such a shame @NorthernMonkey@NorthernMonkey and @Andy10@Andy10 not easy after many years thinking of not returning.
I know my eyes aren't as good as they were but looking at the players training today and not being able to name 25% of the players in attendance is a little sad.
Usually a pre season is when fans have high expectations for the coming season but I've never felt so unenthusiastic about a coming season before, and this is before were told we have to sit away from friends and relations, that's not the clubs fault but all adds to the despondency going forward.

Right or wrong, as Stuart alludes to the last thing this club needs is a player who does not want to be at the club I'm disappointed but I can certainly understand Stuart's comment, which I personally agree with.
Another kick in the balls for Bradford City fans, good luck guys with season ticket sales for the coming season.

And people say city are a well run outfit.
    A professional football club!!

Quietly city higher ups have just high 5 one another because they've saved some ££

I can uderstand that view. It's not that Vaughan has left VP that is the issue with me. I'd have preferred him to stay on balance but he and club have agree a parting of the way with some kind of agreement on the remainder of his contract. That's a matter for them.

What's difficult to swallow is all the BS from both Sparks and SMc which led up to this and how they have denied it over several weeks. It's shown to me the lack of any respect they have for the fans if they prefer to feed us a stream of lies rather than be more open with us on the situation.

Funny how there were loads of pictures of Vaughan laughing and joking with his team mates in training when he was staying, and now he's left, all we hear was how he was sulking and going through the motions and was bad for the dressing room. Hmmmm....who to believe? I'm not buying it really. Letting him go on a free, means we were desperate to get him off the wage book, nothing to do with his bad attitude at all methinks...

It's amazing though but 2....2....2...2....2 times on a row that Rhodes has done this. Let our leading goalscorer go for free to a rival.

    What you think Pep??

Because they'd identified and done their business before it came in, knowing full well existing contracts couldn't be changed.

If mr Vaughan , does not want to be here then good riddance. Times are hard for football clubs at this time and wont get any easier for the forseable future.
We need players at the club that want to be here , not sulky babies that cant have there own way.
Dont forget the club have had little or no income for months , and are now having to pay the players wages £200,000 per month at a rough guess on top of the ground rent -rates etc. Where do people think this magic money is coming from to sign all the required superstars. I am not happy at the situation , but am willing to accept what it is at this present time.

McCall on the radio, "no clubs are paying fees, there's no money in football."

Bradford City sign Elliott Watt from Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

Vaughan can do one. Perfect example of why footballers are seen as arrogant mercenaries.
The bigger question is why did city as a professional organisation allow the cap deadline to pass when they had a major asset on the books wanting away. Now we lose our top scorer and we can’t replace with a like for like due to the cap. Either our scouting network had an ace up its sleeve or we are left with our pants round our ankles. Sadly After how the last couple of seasons have played out it appears amateurish and the latter. Normally I’m one Who will try and take the positives from any such situation but this stinks of Inexperience or there’s a different agenda being played out beneath the surface. Today is a sad day to be a City fan. Not because Vaughan has left. But because of the misinformation coming from the club prior to his exit.

And the common denominator in all this is Rhodes....Wells and Vaughan, both dictating terms.

We desperately need an experienced CEO with football experience. Under the right leadership this club would’ve been in the championship. Instead, it fell to Rhodes, who had a go but has been found out and embarrassed by any player / agent with half an ounce of working the system.

It really is a priority for Rhodes to step aside and hand the reins to someone who knows how to deal with football mercenaries.

that's one of the biggest problems with the club; it's always about getting this season sorted. no long term vision and we start again when the next manager is sacked. all this 'big club' nonsense and then the club wonders why people become disillusioned with it.
