Bielsa was an unbelievably ambitious, imaginative & expensive appointment, the best they could get. Result? City fallen back in love with it's team, sold out ground (not cheap tickets) & with promotion a 50k ER which will be sold out.

Bradford City? Still shuffling about gazing at it's shoes.

Leeds, all my family support them, l think back to the, in reality a tin pot nothing game, where we beat them 2-1. Their boards were full of posters saying how much they'd enjoyed the atmosphere at VP. We do have potential but it'll never be realised with dullard unimaginative owners.

I don't think it is. Liverpool have built up a huge fan base because of their success, not because they are a struggling club in league 2. We are referring to getting out of league 2. The area didn't prevent us from getting promoted under Parkinson nor did it prevent us from reaching a major cup final at wembley. It didn't prevent us from going to wembley again to gain promotion to the championship. It's just nonsense. An awful excuse. There are plenty of teams in league 1 and league 2 who don't have the best of grounds. You couldn't call Burnley a wealthy city. In fact it's probably on a par with Bradford. They are doing rather well.

You might say that if it's so easy why isn't everyone doing it. Some clubs developing better infrastructure than us, Shrewsbury, Accrington, Fleetwood, even Posh etc, are making themselves sustainable and although they're in front of us just now, we'll always have a larger pool of fans to attract. If we were to invest properly and make it work we can leapfrog them quite easily.

I’m sick of the whole “well we have always been a 3rd/4th division club” bullshit.. sums up Bradford as a City... Don’t get ideas above your station...know your place...bollocks I want a club that had ambition.. not happy to plod along... I want more!

The point is that if we do get it right off the pitch and on the pitch, we have the potential to be a proper, Championship club at least.

One problem is that we are constantly having to deal with the consequences of poor managerial appointments and poor recruitment. Although we can get rid of a lot of players this summer we will still have Longridge, POC, AOC, BRE, Pritchard, Novak, Vaughan, Guthrie, French, Wood, Staunton and Hornby under contract for next season. Then in the summer Stuart will try to sign players to build a competitive squad by adding to the above. My guess is that he will fail and then by this time next year we will have another load of players the next manager doesn't want. And so it goes on. By the way, I'm still waiting for someone to give me a definitive answer to who signed Guthrie.

A big problem I think is season ticket prices
As in all things, if It. Seems to be a cheap price, it very likely is.
What do you get Cheap —- rubbish and you cannot complain.
Pay a fair price, your likely to get value or have the right to complain

All businesses run on profit fans are customers.
Works great if the owner put his hand in his pocket to fund cheap prices
    But it won’t last long.
    Pay up then expect value.

This close season it'll reach a critical point. The original scheme was sold via SmC's return as manager on a wave of optimism.

That's not there this time, l think we have a hard core of maybe 7k who'll pay the market rate, or more, no matter what. Needs a re-think.

Think we all know that Rupp and Rhodes have all on just to sustain this club let alone take us forward, just more of the same to come I'm afraid for the forseeable future...

I completely disagree about season ticket prices there is no evidence that dearer tickets will increase overall monies .affordable football is the envy of other clubs fans and for whatever reason has brought lots of new fans in. And we have been on the brink of the championship twice doing it that way. Long may it continue

Edinmiarse. No argument. It is not a single issue. It is one of many, many issues with Bradford City.

Burnley's ground is leagues better than Bradfords and is actually closer to the town centre, on flat ground with room on 3 side to grow, only the Bob Lord stand side is truly hemmed in and though Burnley is a much smaller town they demonstrably have over the past 100 years performed much better. Overall they are a Perm/Championship yo-yo team whereas we are a Div 1/Div 2 yo-yo team.

But if we are to really progress, change the overall mentality, give room to move forward then where we are based is a very important part of the picture.

If Everton, Arsenal, Tottenham, Brighton, Brentford, Luton, Hull, Leicester, Southampton, Swansea, Derby, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and even way back Millwall, as examples (and all teams with a better overall record than us over the past 50 years) recognise this then why are we so different?

Actually dismissing the possibility of a move is part of the overall problem. We are mired in the past as if it was some glorious history when it is actually a litany of never was.

    errr...isnt it simple maths?

    10k at 150 is GBP1.5m
    10k at 250 is GBP 2.5m

    Actually

    12k at 150 is GBP1.8m
    8k at 250 is GBP2.0m

We could Loe 4k season tickets and be 200k better off

"...there is no evidence that dearer tickets will increase overall monies"

errr...I am clearly missing something here.

Or are you going to try and sell me the line that we sell enough pies and replica shirts to make up the difference?

If we want Rupp to put his hand into his pocket then I think he could reasonably expect us to put our bit in as well and pay more for our season tickets.

Ultimately the phrase containing the words 'Peanuts' and 'Monkeys' comes to mind if we want to continue as we are.

We have well connected members frequenting this board, maybe they could raise the question many fans are asking.....what’s the plan?

Can't disagree with most of that, then again we don't have an owner with any vision like Andrea Radrizzani, the only thing they have in common is they are both foreign owners.
Not sure Leeds fans ever fell out of love with their team, even through the bad times in league one they could pull ‎average attendances of 26,040.

Don't you think at sometime in the past that calculation has been, and it looks like they disagreed with your comment or we would possible be paying £200+ for a season ticket ?.
