I'm sure we can move to a 25,000 seater stadium but I thought we already had one?

Where's this? No way can you build at 21,000 seater stadium for £14 million.

The two numbers were juxtaposed. Its a proposed 14,000 capacity stadium costing £21mill! It's an easy mistake to make ;)

They know how to build things over there. By the time we've got planning permission, they'd have built it.

Well you could build a 21000 stadium for £14m ...................in 2004, I missed that bit in my excitement. :)

"In April of that year, it was revealed that the new £14-million home of Grimsby Town would be called the Conoco Stadium and plans seemed to be coming together that would see the Mariners have a new home in time for the start of the 2003/04 season. The petro-chemical giant was understood to have paid £1 million for the ten-year naming rights to the new 21,000 all-seater stadium, set to be built off the A180 near Great Coates."

£14m then is £21m+ today. Cheap! However, it appears that'll it'll be built on derelict dock land and they have revised the capacity to 14000 and the cost to £20m+:D

I thought it was cheap. I think Salfords 5,000 meccano stadium was about 4 to 5 million and that's shite. Be interesting to see what Peterborough come back with cost wise for their new stadium. Now there's a chairman that gets things done.

    Does he ?
For all his bluster on social media, they have spent only 3 seasons in the championship in the last 15 years.
That surely is the major benchmark.
Whilst admittedly he does pull in the occasional large transfer fees for players sold on.
They did lose £5.5m in actual day to day trading last year. Transfers in only covered that by just under £4m, therefor losing £1.2M.

3 seasons more than us then. Put it this way, this club would be transformed under his ownership.

Against our current incumbent, I don't disagree.

The club hasn't got a pot to piss in.

The club doesn't have a rich sugar daddy.

There's no really rich fan that want to buy city. I mean one that really wants championship football.

The stadium is in shit hole area, I bet its puts alot of would be investers off. It'll put me off.

As for a lot words being written on here.
They mean nothing to those running the club not one bit.
They want our 150 for season tickets and you happyclappers love it, so sit your arse down and watch crap football and crap players week in week out. Your opinion isn't wanted.

So until we get someone really stinking rich.
    We're in the shitpool forever.

    Keep clapping.

He's not perfect I guess no one is. Just seems to done pretty well with a club that has no real history to speak of. If he pulls of the new stadium that's a big step toward the future. Not sure where the crowds to fill it will come from though.
