Yet no one else does it. Could be unique to us and I'm not against aggressive pricing policies, but here's an example. Accrington, with one of the lowest budgets in league 1 and 2, early bird season ticket for existing holders is £229. That's less than a tenner a game. Still a ridiculously good price to watch professional football. I wouldn't even aim ours that high. £200, rock bottom price to watch professional football. Any lower your giving them away.

The whole crux of the matter is what is the tipping point? I remember talking to a fan of another club, can't recall which, about season ticket prices. When told £150 he was amazed but also curious as to why they were so much cheaper than everyone else.

What I want to know with some urgency from the club is this; What are our ambitions? If we have any, how do we intend to implement our ambitions? What kind of timescales? What are the risks to achievement? How as fans can we support the club? How will the fans requirements as customers be addressed?

As far as ticket prices are concerned the old adage is “you get what you pay for” we have extremely cheap tickets, which I am now witnessing on the football pitch. Not the only reason, we have had some exceptionally poor decision making over the last three years.

I have been supporting Bradford City since 1967. I have been a Season Ticket holder for decades. I promise you The Board I cannot watch this much longer. Will I buy a Season Ticket next year, don’t know at the moment, but I will need to see movement on the questions I asked above and I want see intent to support the manager in the up and coming season. I want to see the very best scouts employed and backroom staff to assist the manager.

Just look at the high street where the one pound stores are thriving but big brands like M&S and Debenhams are struggling. And supermarkets where big names such as Morrison and Tesco are producing poor results whist pile it high sell it cheap shops such as Aldi and Liddle are expanding rapidly.
Whilst we are bottom of the pile keep it affordable and as we rise let prices do the same

Without a doubt a lot travel in to the City we have the Airevalley contingent people from surrounding villages and guit a few from outside. I am quit happy with the ST prices remaining the same for next season and Rockets family will be renewing. Whatever happens this season most people I know will be renewing. We just need the club to sort themselves out working on sponsorship but not forgetting the loyal fans at the end of the day

There you have it, the Bratfud "can't do" attitude. Tiny places can build a new stadium but Bradford doesn't have "a pristine site ready for development". In reality Bradford has umpteen places where a stadium could be built.

We have to pay more to stand still, were they £150 in 2007? That's £210 today.

Hi Rogered we have seats in the Bantams Bar so pay the extra cost for the facilities. Bingley Bantams have made a good effort in refurbishment but it is looking tired and facilities are rather poor.
I would pay more for the seat but not the facilities. I am a big believer in seating areas at a varied price range depending on the area and views in the stadium.
The Bantams Bar needs a complete modern update and improved facilities maybe a new sponsor required or a franchise.

Trouble is I don’t think there is a premium area in the stadium in the main stand the seats are so close you have to be a contortionist to fit in and the other side offers very little

Fair comments pal. I guess there's only so much the Bingley Bantams can do with a limited budget. Maybe better off long term as a fan zone type area with the club being so limited with outdoor space.

As I have posted before .. Its very simple really

£299 for premium seats on the halfway line etc and filtering down to £199 for the edges

That way everyone feels like they are getting value for money and the club gets some extra wonga

You go to a concert / show and you pick and choose where you sit due to your budget but everyone gets to see the show at a price they are comfortable to pay

    simples

Seats in the main stand top tier are nice. If I ever moved from the kop I wouldn't mind going there. The view is excellent.

Your point is well made but the adult ST was £138 in 2007/08 and we sold 12,000 in total. But that of course coincided with the first return of SMc which I guess would have had some impact on ST sales.

They were maintained at a similar price in the following season and we sold just over 11,000.

We certainly missed a trick in 2013/14 when we were in Div 1 when we kept the prices the same as the previous season in Div 2. In 2013/14 we paid the same for arguably better football. I really don't understand the logic of not increasing prices having been promoted!

Something that's always puzzled me is the all seats same price, just makes no sense whatsoever, almost as much as flexi cards

Ive got used to being close to the action but when the cup games were on ended up in the main stand top tier. Gives a completely different view to the game.

Ehan and I went to the reply for the home game against Millwall the other year and were sat on the second row in I'd forgotten the sound of a crunching tackle you are certainly more involved the nearer you are.

Just like at other clubs? I open the ground map and browse the seats till I find seats that I want, buy and have the ticket on my phone. I think the piss take ticketing system at VP shows a lot about the clubs ambition.

I think years ago a seat was always an option for the better off when standing areas such as the kop were an option. A seat was usually limited and as such came at a premium. Standing also gave option to like minded fans to congregate together. I guess at Valley Parade now if you made the middle bits more expensive they'd be empty such is mindset of our cheap ticket fan base.
