We should talk to Gary Rowett on the QT and if he would come as manager be ruthless and replace Hopkin with him,

Don’t boo and didn’t clap. I like many others come to football to be entertained. Long ball to the center half and lose of possession isn’t entertainment. Poor tactics in my opinion.

We have some very technical players in midfield with the worst defenders we have ever had. I thought Butterfield had a reasonable game all considered. He could be the answer, play him in front of the central two and let him play out of defence. Might work if the forward line ran off the ball and found space.

I don't do the booing, not my thing, however don't blame the fans at all that boo'd at the end, it was dire lower league two stuff that got served up on Saturday.

The amount of times O'Connor & NKP lazily opted to hoof it down their centre backs throat instead of playing an easy pass to Butterfield was staggering. I admired his desire to give an option but it was an option rarely taken, and when it was, nobody else was on the move for Butterfield to move the play on to.

Its clear that its a team problem. Fleetwood got into them early, got the early goal and they didn't fancy it after that instead opting for lazy options. Hopkin has to take his responsibility for that and I say that as something who thinks he can get us out of the mire. When you see mindless tactics like we did on Saturday then you can understand fans voicing their displeasure.

If Hopkin can do what he did at Livingston I don't think many Bradford City supporters would be complaining a couple of years from now. He proved in Scotland that he can build a successful team if given time. He might not be able to repeat that feat at Valley Parade but it is too soon to judge after just six months.

    No, it's not.

You failed to realise we're in a relegation battle?

If he takes us down he has had long enough to turn it around.

His awful tactics worked in Scotland. The standard of league 1 football by the top teams is improving year on year and is miles ahead in terms of the standard Hopkin was managing at with Livingston.
Some teams play actual football in League 1. We wont get out of this league with Hopkin in charge. Not in a million years.
We have 3 very good forwards at the club in Payne, Doyle and Ball yet they are struggling week in week out.
I dread to think how bad it would be without Payne and he can go 2-3 games without making a contribution and he wont be here next season.

we have improved over the last three months there is no doubt about that.

Football is still turgid at times that’s granted. But it was under parky except we had a good defence and keeper and it didn’t matter as we very rarely let more than one goal in.

We have shown signs we can play some good stuff and going back to that we can climb out of the relegation zone. I’ve still got faith despite a disappointing performance on Saturday.

He has given us a chance.

    Absolutely 100% Spot on

It's depressing that they and Wycombe are both woeful and safe and might even make the Play-offs

Mind you I'd have Fleetwoods front two

We'll get out of this division soon enough, just not in the right direction.

All well and good but it doesn't explain the utterly brainless tactics we've seen recently.

Butterfield made angles for the cb's to pass yet they ignored him and looked for the long diagonal. If thats our tactic to a small lone striker then we are doomed. Its a stupid tactic with this personnel and totally negates our so called quality midfielders. Fleetwood were average but took 3 points on our patch without having to do anything special and Hopkin cant have any complaints if the crowd boo. If we had lost 1-0, had 25 shots and been unlucky, Hopkin could complain but not after that shite

Christ! Some have short memories on here. The comments about Hopkin are almost spookily exactly the same as the comments made about Parkinson exactly seven years

Like I said with the great man, I'll say with Hopkin - I am not judging or condemning him until he's had a pre-season to bring in the players he wants and had time to work on the system he wants - and get's them in the conditioning he wants

There isn't a solution that could easily have been put in place on Saturday to resolve the central midfield not dominating enough - I fail to see this as Hopkin been clueless

Yes. He makes some strange decisions - I for one have no idea how you expect to succeed with just one defensive midfielder and then four others who are all attack minded. Why was Butterfield not played further forward? When he did it more in the second half, we looked better.

We haven't got a winger and we now need to hope that we get 8 to 10 decent matches out of Scannell and if Butterfield can keep spraying the ball as wonderfully well as he did - out strikers will actually do something with the supply

I'd be getting Mellor back and playing him in midfield, alongside O'Brien and Butterfield. Push Ball up front just behind Doyle or Miller - not wasted on the right. O'Brien / Butterfield would have to dovetail, i.e.cover each other etc

Not a disaster yet. But chances are running out
