The crowd in my opinion were not booing the players they were booing Hopkin and his dreadful team management

No he doesn’t have a point. The booing wasn’t aimed at the players, nor was it an expression of disappointment with a poor performance or result. It was an expression of anger aimed at him, for moronic tactics that from minute one were never going to work and which he did nothing to change.

Team struggles, manager identifies weaknesses. Board back manager with new recruits to strengthen weak positions. Team turns around bad form and rises up table.
Now turn that equation to us. We know where we are weak, i'm sure Hopkin did too. We leak goals and we don't score, especially when we go behind. We bring no striker in and let a central defender go and replace the centre back with an unknown who can't get a game at Blackpool. Barnsley do us a favour and buy Miller only to lend him us back , if we get an injury to a CB or striker we have no natural replacement. But hey we brought in another central/attacking midfielder and a guy who couldn't get a gig a Doncaster Rovers. Theres a pattern emerging here. We then inexpicably go back to playing the way that saw us rooted in the bottom four before our mini revival. And Hopkin wonders why fans booed after yesterdays shambles. Go figure David

He's unhappy with booing? Well fans are sick of watching his ineffective dinosaur tactics every week, so he has no right to complain.

As yourself @Lord Bobby@Lord Bobby I didn't boo but I can understand why some did, Hopkin has done himself no favours commenting about the situation yesterday.
We got to half time 1-0 down he had chance to change things he didn't, in the second half as a team we didnt improve and Fleetwood saw the game out and left with 3 easy points, sorry Mr Hopkin the problems are a bit nearer home and certainly not the paying public.

I was unhappy with the clapping seals at the end. Those people deserve league 2 football.

He got lucky with a little run under his belt on December, otherwise we would be firmly rock bottom and certain of L2 next season.

Hopkin is clueless in tactics, and it was obvious yesterday.

The formations, hoofball and late, ineffective substitutions have been obvious to nearly 20000 fans since he came in, but still he continues to deliver the same old baffling, frustrating and ineffective football that we are now so used to.

I believe we have the players to keep us up (just) but a manager that can't get the best out of them and their abilities to working with each other.

Sadly, that will send us down.

Oh, and I can't understand a word he's saying on the radio either.

Translated, it's apparently the same old excuses week after week.

I really hope he goes at the end of the season, regardless of our position

He is not the man, coach or manager Bradford City need to move forward.

You need rid of Hopkin. More and more he is coming across as basically a less good and ginger Mourinho just with a more old fashioned version of the TM style. I mean let’s just look at it
    • When another tactic works for a game or two when he tries it he he quickly reverts back
    • Gets Tunnel vision buying players and just keeps buying players in the same position not where the squads week (You needed a good experienced CB and some actual wide players as Payne is the only one you really have and he is better behind the striker. He has bought two right backs and about twenty CM's)
    • Even when he doesn’t have players to fit a TM tactic he keeps playing it, Jose wouldexpect Rashford, Remy and the like to play as a TM when the one TM United and Chelsea has was out rather than play differently to suit those players. Hopkin plays Doyle and Miller as TM when it’s not going to work
    • He makes claims in the press that he isn’t predictable and stuck to a single tactic even when clearly he is
    • He hangs players out to dry
    • He lets certain players who he feels will show loyalty to him away with murder.
    • He blames anyone he can including the fans for failure as long as it shifts the blame from him.
You kind of need shot of him right now as if he keeps this up and plays hoof all again in the next two games you are down and it’s all really at his feet. We saw from the few games in December you have a decent bunch of players especially attacking who can play decent and effective football but he is hindering them with his style

I didn't boo, but I wanted to get out of the terraces ASAP as I didn't feel any kind of applause or acknowledgement of a very poor performance was in order. Nobody played well.

However, there are some real idiots who will boo every defeat and poor performance this season. It's one thing to boo a disgraceful tonking, but narrow defeats against sides who set out to spoil the game from the tenth minute?

Yeah, it's disappointing, but not boo-worthy.

But like others have said, the boos could have been aimed at the 'game' (which that sack of crap Barton ruined), or the referee, or just general frustration rather than players.

What I really don't like seeing, though, are the absolute brainless dickheads who have a go at individual players during matches like that. Sit down, shut up, and engage your thoughts for once. Nobody stood out as worse than anybody else yesterday. Arguably Payne was the worst player on the pitch, but once again it's the likes of Miller and Chicksen getting shit from the Midland Road stand.

    Retards.

As i said to @Bronco@Bronco in conversation, i don’t like losing as its part and parcel of football. What does annoy me is doing the wrong thing over and over again and not doing anything to address it. Honestly, with the players at our disposal, Saturday has to rank amongst the dumbest 90 minutes of football i’ve seen. If i have to witness that again it will force me to leave early, i’ve got better things to do with my time than waste it watching that.

I can’t see how inflicting more pressure on the players is going to get them playing better. Having said that I was not happy yesterday, so didn’t clap either.

Like Onside I didn't boo but didn't clap either. True we looked clueless at times and resorted to the pointless hoof, but Fleetwood did a job on us and were one of the most frustrating teams I have seen here. I know they got all 3 points but they were absolutely dire themselves

Booing serves no purpose. Total silence on the other hand is a stronger point.

He’s beginning to make the same sound bites as Grayson who could see no wrong in himself.

    Stop tinkering.
    Stop signing sicknotes.
    Stop the hoof ball.
    Stop picking Chicksen
Stop signing midfielders unless they’re wingers.

Sometimes morals override what you think might work. Having Evans here would be a case in point, in my opinion, and I for one, would boycott attending games

If that fat barsteward Evans ever became manager of our club I would never attend a game again. Most of us have our red lines. That's the main one for me.

Butterfield made angles for the cb's to pass yet they ignored him and looked for the long diagonal. If thats our tactic to a small lone striker then we are doomed. Its a stupid tactic with this personnel and totally negates our so called quality midfielders. Fleetwood were average but took 3 points on our patch without having to do anything special and Hopkin cant have any complaints if the crowd boo. If we had lost 1-0, had 25 shots and been unlucky, Hopkin could complain but not after that shite

It was obvious that O'Donnell was under instruction to hit it long every time, Hopkin was even waving to him to kick it long, If it was not what he wanted he only had to shout to O'Donnell to throw it out.

Nothing is ever Hopkin's fault is it. Despite his dismal record since taking the reins, I cannot recall him admitting he got he wrong, either team selection or tactics.

He is going to further alienate himself from fans by now having a pop at them.

The responsibility of managing a club our size, is looking beyond him, and I daresay, he knows it.

So, in the meantime, blame everyone but himself for such abject performances such as yesterdays

I thought we were very restrained and tried to back the players. The atmosphere could have turned long before the booing at the final whistle.
