You must be a world class grudge holder. He did well for you, got tapped up, as it goes, who'd have thought that?

There is no hope for us, you could give us Hurst and the best 3 players in their position in L1, we are still going down.

The revolving door will stop once Abbott gets his promotion
He should have left with McCall but didn't and is the reason Hopkin didn't bring in his own staff If you think it's bad now just wait till he is given the job

Maybe he has. But still inferior stats than Collins with same squad, and we all thought he was out if his depth.
Hopkin is clearly out of his depth at this level too

Is it THE same squad? And given time Collins would have achieved similar stat status IMO. You have an uncanny ability to bark up the wrong tree.

I can’t see Hurst and Doig pitching up at VP whilst Edin is in town.

Of course it's the same squad, bar Jim O'Brien. Barking up the wrong tree?..go on then, tell me which is the right tree

Hopkin has done nothing to change things infact as the stats show his record is worse than Collins. He has not even got as far as making us difficult to beat !. But this squad is "a pile of dogs doings," and would struggle in League 2 ! so for me I think Hopkin should go if nothing more than to save his own plummeting reputation. Is he a bad manager ? I'd like to think not ? he worked well at Livingstone but he certainly has his work cut out with this group of players and has to work with Abbott and the remnants of the old "failed regime". So he might have to go simply to save himself the ignomy of it all.
If he does go; then presumably Abbott will get what he's always wanted ...somehow I kind take a perverse pleasure out of the thought of Abbott being left to sort his own mess out ! Least we can then hurl pelters at the people responsible for this shambolic ruination of our football club Rahic & Abbott !

O'Connor...really...he doesn't defend, he just backs off and backs off and lets his man run into the area or have a shot...for a CB he seems to be poor in the air defensively...

It virtually is the same squad, give or take a player here and there yes. Riley, Chicksen and Akpan featured more for Collins than they have for Hopkin but I would argue Hopkin has benefited from Chicksen being out because Wood is shaping up to be a better player then him. Collins had Colville for a few games who did well, but Hopkin has had Luke O'Brien who has also done well, and when Akpan and Wright were injured, he had Jim O'Brien who is better than both of them.

He didn’t have a big back room staff at Livingston though. He had an assistant who is basically unhirable (convicted drug dealer who still has legal issues. He also has no coaching qualifications and wasn’t actually a Hopkin appointment. He was there when he arrived. It’s controversial enough in Scotland), Two keeper coaches and then medical and sports scientists. Oh and John Hartson but he quit seemingly to focus on his media work

Medical and sports scientists are people who are less likely to be brought along. These are trained people with qualifications so their quality is less opinion based. The level at Bradford should be higher than at Livingston so why bring them along? As I said his Assistant wasn’t his appointment so isn't necessarily someone he really would want to bring even if his legal issues weren’t problematic. So it’s the keeper coaches that are possibilities, one on paper is no better than City’s current one, the other is the one who might be harder to get to agree anyway. Also I believe they all reupped their deals so it’s not like they are fully available even if they would be open.

Hartson is perhaps the only one who would be easy to get if he could be persuaded that it wouldn’t impact his media duties. He might actually be the most useful too as some of the players need to learn how to score

I'd love Hurst if Hopkin went. Shrewsbury were bottom when he took over in October and he saved them and then improved them year after.

We need that experience at this level. Not saying its Hopkin's fault but if he does walk we need to act quick

Looking at Hopkin at Livingston I get the feeling he isn’t a manager who can motivate an existing group of players. He couldn’t stop them getting relegated but turned the club around after that so seems like someone who almost needs a blank slate with a squad of players that fit his style. Which isn’t what City seem to need, they need someone who can take a group of players and find a way to motivate them and get them working as a team

Tbf to Hopkin, you just have to look at the state of our bench today. Barely a league appearance between them, and Isherwood making his league debut. The squad has got worse from the Collins era.

He has inherited a squad without a front man to lead the line. A squad drafted together with some sort of 433/343 fast fluid football vision, using wing backs etc. Unfortunately, we haven't got the players remotely capable of this. We have the league one equivalent of a man turning up for a gun fight with letter opener.

I'd have hoped we might have scraped a win or two more, but I don't blame DH at all. He has nothing to work with on the pitch or on his staff.

He has players that allows another style of play that route one to a target man which he seems to insist on his teams playing despite not having a target man
