Hopkin.... should he stay or should he go now

Funny but during the talk with Gary Bowyer we spoke about the emergency loan system not being available as from this season and he said when the likes of Dave Hopkin takes over a squad that is weakened by injuries and low on confidence he has no where to turn, all he can do it try and bring different things into training and try and make those players believe in their ability, Hopkin was always on a hiding to nothing.

 

As were the rest of the managers, and Rahic knew it.

This is for all you tight Yorkshire men. How do you control spending? You take your wife/ girlfriend out shopping on a Sunday Yes I know it doesn’t apply today, but you get my drift. These two are not remotely interested in taking this club anywhere apart from to the cleaners!

There's no easy solutions to stop the slide of our club into oblivion. But its the Toxic Atmosphere that is destroying the players,(some deliberately feigning injury) rather than play.Fans on match days turning up with buzz of anticipation, hoping for a great game,and of course another win. NOT ANYMORE ITS ALL GONE.And it wont come back till the SMELLS GONE.

Edin out 1st then wait until Jan to see if Rupp keeps his promise.

 

OK and then what??? Don't get me wrong, we have been rank awful under him but I honestly don't see anyone doing much better with the worst squad in living memory. The damage was done long ago. If he does walk then don't expect anyone with any sort of credibility to come in......we are well and truly screwed!!!

 

Apart from promoting Abbott/Drury I don’t know who else we could get in to do the job if Hopkin left. I think I’d rather have Hopkin.

 

I would rather you as manager. Hopkin is proving worse than Collins.

 

Salop can in peace. Try a punt on Paul Hurst. Got us out of the mire season before last then took us into dreamland for most of last season. Proven at this level. How we could do with him now but unfortunately he shat on us when we needed him most, so no coming back here. Take him just to stop our chairman doing the unthinkable and re-hiring the snake

How on earth did he shat on you? Give any sensible manager a club to choose from, Shrews or Ipswich, who are they going to choose FFS?

Anyway, he wouldn't make any difference unless he sneaked in a new team on arrival.

 

Club needs a clean out starting from the top. Not sure if Rupp has the bottle to tell Rahic that enough is enough, so I believe they will ride it out. Can’t blame Hopkin although we have not improved as a team under his leadership, he should have brought in his own staff from day one and this will be his downfall. Looks like another new manager will becoming through the city revolving door to try and work some magic to get some points and keeps us in touch until the transfer window. As a city fan for over 40 years I have never felt so frustrated and angered at our club at this time.

 

He would of done for some plus he is in the PL

Hopkin refused to do them all.

 

Denied all knowledge publicly that he'd been approached by Ipswich when it was blatantly obvious that it was a done deal well before Wembley play off final. Well documented on our forum. He did actually save us from almost nailed on relegation when most fans had given up hope. Still hope for you yet

 

Hopkin knows this a total lost cause already and needs to go now! He's been unable to instil anything to improve the performances of this hapless group and he's powerless to do anything until January. Then what? It's going to need major reconstructive surgery with at least 6/7 really good quality players coming in. Where's he going to conjure those from?

This is without doubt the most spineless assembly of players in my entire 43yrs as a City fan. Rahic and Abbott are entirely responsible and they need to be hung out to dry and face the consequences of their shambolic recruitment and coaching project!

The Club is poison from top to bottom and doomed to hell in a hand cart!
