Hopkin.... should he stay or should he go now

He should leave.

Mainly, for his own cut. Not doing interviews highlights to me he isn't cut out for the job.

We're going backwards under him.

 

Why would he take the job
Surely anyone should know the state we are in

 

He's worked under the Venky's and the Oyston's crazy owners are his speciality

 

There's always somebody who'll take any job, no matter how bad the situation, it won't make any difference though. Wouldn't surprise me if things got worse and we looked back fondly on the happy Hopkin days.

 

If Hopkin walks,can't blame him.This situation is unprecedented and I can't see three or four additions in Jan changing much as they'll be lost in the inexplicable mire.A new manager? We've had them and nobody has made any difference.

The real problem seems to run deep and a complete start again with the financial backing to go with it may be our only hope of salvation.

 

Abbott has to go with him, these so called “championship” quality players are his and Edin the cowards doing..

Totally agree, this is not down to DH, or any of the other managers who have been asked to work with Rahic and his plan. The recruitment was cheap, ill thought through, and topped off with with a cheap manager signing that hadn’t applied for the job.

 

Looking at Aldershot at Barrow I think has been said.....

 

I didn't think it would take long for some fans to turn against Hopkin. They are just lashing out at another obvious target.
I give you McCall, Grayson, Collins and now Hopkin who have all failed miserably in 2018. And you think the answer is to get yet another manager. Reminds me very much of a certain definition of madness.

 

Changed my mind and I want him to stay. Another coach will only flounder just as badly and it's all a complete waste of time anyway, I'd rather Hopkin got on with identifying the few players worth keeping and those needed to arrive to assemble a decent L2 squad.

 

Told me he was scouting when I approached him at half time, but he'd hardly tell me he was looking at what was on offer if he was interested in taking over.

However, we need a manager that at least can stop us going backwards and find a formula. Hopkin is struggling badly mate.

 

We have what we have player wise until January..... although there was talk on Pulse about new free agents coming in, the owners are going no where short term unfortunately, and we've seen that the next new manager is no better than his predecessor.
I wouldn't blame Hopkin if he walks but bringing another manager in with this squad won't make the slightest bit of difference, look at the players he had available and then look at what he had on the bench.

 

Whilst I’ve been underwhelmed by Hopkin, if he goes who the hell comes in? Under this regime even Grayson who was one of the most qualified L1 managers was underwhelming. The club is rotten and it would take a really good manager to get us out of this crap. We can’t bring a load of new players. We should be able to bring a new coaching team in though. If Hopkin goes we literally won’t have anyone in charge of anything at the club. The squad needs major surgery and that’s not an option. Hopkin knows what the priorities are. I hope he stays and brings in out of contract players next week.

 

I wonder if his report will say "we're screwed?

Anybody with a full quota of brain cells can see what the problem is. We are in all kinds of trouble, and no end in sight. We look almost certainties to go down. These players do not look up for the challenge, they have no history with the fans, the time to bring in new quality players was last January, or the previous summer. However, Rahic and Rupp spent the summer trying to kick the manager out of the door, then in a fit of spite they deliberately and ruthlessly cut the budget.

The cynical way Rahic has recruited managers once the window has shut, that is the other way he controlled managers power, and increased his own.

So here we are with yet another manager who can’t turn the players around, because none of them have been recruited with resilience in mind, and you need that in this league. He has deliberately filled the squad up with cheap youngsters to they virtually have to play with young ones in the team because he says that is part of his plan.

 

Only 1 constent in the dreadful mess ---- RAHIC------- go and go now , i never want to see you in Bradford again never mind at VP .
