A word for Wood who is developing into a good full back. It’s good to see

 

Yellow card all day long. The ref got all three sending offs right.

 

Give over. Law would walk straight into our side and they were a team who didn't come for a point or waste time but played good flowing football. I won't be surprised if they are there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

 

If we keep Cooke for two seasons, in League One, I GUARANTEE he is viewed similarly.

Which shows how utterly nonsensical the hate for Law was.

 

Law is better than all of our midfield options perhaps Cooke runs him close.
But some fans want it lumped forwards and cant appreciate a footballer when they see one.
For me Law is a quality player who is still capable of playing higher up the leagues. Exeter have got a good one there.

How was it an average performance?

We played one of the best sides in the division.

Had Liverpool beat Man City Ike that it wouldn't be described as average.

 

Well that's 2 of the automatic spots taken then, just need to get the other one and we'll have promotion wrapped up!

 

Just looked at the table, means nothing at this stage I know. But the reason I’m bringing it up is the other 3 relegated teams are all in the bottom half, 2 in the bottom 4. Well done Gary, it’s not as easy as some think to turn a failing team around, and we were even below them 3.

Also agree about Wood gets better by the game imo.

Dominic Poleon seemed to have them every week, sadly he always missed them!

 

1) Law keeps the ball really well and I'd have him back. We regularly play Devine, Anderson and Palmer in midfield.

2)Of course it was a 2nd yellow card hacked him down from behind. Our players would be around the ref if it was the other way. I was worried his first tackle could have been a soft red.

3) Those people booing Law are just muppets.

4) looked a clear og from kop. In off the defenders chest.

5) I haven't seen every game but Exeter are by Far the best team we have played.

 

Not one for "Bigging Up" the opposition, I tend to take the view let the opposition worry about us we are at home, if you consider they have a 300 mile trek up the various motorways and looking at their last two away days at Cambridge 0-4 and Scunthorpe 1-3, seven goals conceded it hardly breeds confidence in their most optimistic fans, my guess is they would take a point now before a ball.is kicked.

Hopefully we will have players back from injury coupled with the team having a week off they should be chomping at the bit to get cracking, surely we should have enough in the tank to take 3 points.

 

Whether Bowyer is not getting the best out of him or not, all I am seeing from Vaughan is someone who is more interested in trying to buy free kicks, and then losing his cool when the refs dont fall for it.

That challenge from Taylor was an absolute disgrace.

Cooke was stupid, and not totally sure about the third red, but the linesman was convinced.

Good win against a footballing side with no real back bone.

 

Bloody hell mate, has matron given you the wrong medication, we were in League One when we got rid of Law, in this league as he showed today best player on the park IMO.

 

Don’t know why our fans boo’d Law after the red. It was a clear yellow, stupid by Cooke and both Gary and Cooke himself know that. Cooke has since come out and apologised.

 

And a good word for Exeter. Came to play a game of football and for much of the game played very well and in a good spirit. No gamesmanship, time wasting, niggly fouls, diving etc. Tried to go forward from the off, none of the ten men behind the ball and see what we can knick nonsense. Good on 'em. Sad that having two men sent off will suggest they were a dirty side. Wasn't that sort of game at all.
