What is good about our position in the league table is we haven't had our best side out because of injuries, start getting some of our injured payers back and we can kick on again IMO.

From where I sat I had a perfect view it was a hard tackle at first the ref wasn’t going to give anything until we had the antics from law and the others it was a soft booking.
As for Law he has obviously done very well for them and played really well for them today for the first half hour until gradually Cooke and Pritchard got the better of him. But for us he slowed play down only had one movement sideways and like Doyle he obviously fits another clubs tactics better I certainly wouldn’t swap him for Cooke

Just goes to shows it's a game of opinions I thought the lad Williams had the better of Wood, and made life hard for Henley when he changed wings, although both our full backs gave good support down the line.

He tackled from behind, years ago it would have been a nothing challenge but not in today's game so sorry mate no sympathy from me and none from Bowyer the way he gestured to him.

A word too for Henley. When I saw him in the first game of pre-season at Guiseley I commented that he seemed more like a wide midfielder than a fullback. And today I thought that he struggled in the first twenty minutes to fit into the back four. (Has he played right back in a league game for us before today?) But he stuck at it and grew into the game. Great cross for the first goal and his pace and enthusiasm gives us an extra dimension. Don't think we missed Mellor's height in this particular game. The back four were very solid today though Exeter offered very little threat up front.

Have to disagree there. Williams did nothing against wood, who was well supported by oteh in all fairness but he had much more joy against henley who had a mixed afternoon.

Cooke posted an apology on his Twitter Dave I’m sure he feels he let the team down but sometimes it’s hard to hold back.

And a good word for Exeter. Came to play a game of football and for much of the game played very well and in a good spirit. No gamesmanship, time wasting, niggly fouls, diving etc. Tried to go forward from the off, none of the ten men behind the ball and see what we can knick nonsense. Good on 'em. Sad that having two men sent off will suggest they were a dirty side. Wasn't that sort of game at all.

Completely agree. Only one bad tackle in the whole game. Game played in the right way

V true. Exeter like to play footy so Henley was more suited but Mellor may be better suited to those sides who are lands of giants. Some may say just play your best side but it's easy to be rubbish but get a few set pieces and score (Pulis, Warnock etc)

No problem with you disagreeing mate we all see thing differently at times, as @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart said we played well certainly second half against Port Vale yet came away with no points.

Cant recall him stopping a cross coming in.

Better as an attacking RB but woeful as a defending one.

They tried to play, had us under pressure at times and looked a decent side in many ways. Agreed there. But cutting us open for fun? Not for me. I only remember ROD having to make one big save. For the most part we were solid.

I can see your point. He suits certain teams and styles. When I watch the footy highlights on that random channel I can't remember on sky he seems to be involved in a lot of their goals. He's a very good player in my eyes but like marmite

Dead right. Someone behind me said that Exeter reminded him of us under McCall, lovely looking football but no finish. Thought that that was pretty accurate.

I'm not a lover of players apologising he knew he'd been daft making that sort of challenge on a yellow, I'm more annoyed the powers that be are taking the physical side out of the game.
And what pissed me off the most today was when Oteh was caught off side and the lino waited until he got to the ball before flagging, he must have run 10 yards he was obviously trying to play the ball and the lino waited until he got to the ball then flagged

First 20 minutes we were dire and I thought their attacking play was better than any team I've seen this season, OK I missed the Forest Green game ;), can't agree mate Law was involved with most of their forward play and to comment ROD didn't have a save to make that was hardly because of Law, it was because of his fellow forwards letting him down.
We got better as the game went on but IMO Law was still Exeter's best player.

Spot on that. Thought their following was class. Can’t remember the last time I heard an away following of that size (still impressive considering the distance) make so much noise.

That's what they have to do now. They don't flag until they play the ball.
