Yes it makes a mockery of said player obviously trying to gain an unfair advantage, he was offside well before he reached the ball, just flag ffs ;).

If he doesn't play the ball now he's not offside and another of our players could come and play it. I'm like you. In our day offside was offside but not anymore. Don't you remember Wike being penalised for offside 10 yards inside our half a couple of years ago because he'd been offside and that was where he next played the ball.

Can't disagree it's more frustration that anything, has it changed the game for the better, I don't think so

Basically the totting up procedure for yellow cards is now done by individual competition.

For example - previously, 5 yellows across (for example) 3 EFL games, one EFL Cup and one FA Cup would equal a ban from whatever the next game was. Now, you’d have to get 5 yellows just in EFL games and you’d be banned from the next EFL game.

Red cards still see a ban across whatever the next game/s are - so as our next game is the FA Cup and Cooke’s sending off carries a one match ban, he misses the FA Cup game (even though the red card was in an EFL game).

We'll have to disagree. The highlights clearly show Oteh scored the goal (despite the Quest show commentary) as far as I am concerned.

Agree Henley should keep his place after that performance. Think Mellor has had some poor games this season so Henley could really make that position his own

I'm not disputing that it was a silly challenge. I just don't think it was a serious enough foul to warrant a booking. It wasn't properly from behind - it was at 45 degrees; it was a genuine attempt to win the ball, not a cynical professional foul; he got some of the ball before making contact with Law; it wasn't dangerous and Law wasn't going towards goal so it didn't stop an obvious attack. I just don't see how that adds up to a yellow card. It was a very soft yellow in my opinion.

    1) Law keeps the ball really well and I'd have him back. We regularly play Devine, Anderson and Palmer in midfield.

2)Of course it was a 2nd yellow card hacked him down from behind. Our players would be around the ref if it was the other way. I was worried his first tackle could have been a soft red.

    3) Those people booing Law are just muppets.

    4) looked a clear og from kop. In off the defenders chest.

    5) I haven't seen every game but Exeter are by Far the best team we have played.

3 of our next 4 are away. Colchester and Plymouth away next up, 2 tricky fixtures. I admire our resilience but our quality on the ball is going to have to kick up a notch if we want to stay in the top 3 over the next month.

Law is better than all of our midfield options perhaps Cooke runs him close.
But some fans want it lumped forwards and cant appreciate a footballer when they see one.
For me Law is a quality player who is still capable of playing higher up the leagues. Exeter have got a good one there.
    Good luck to the lad.

So we can say that battling over quality will take us up??

Our lack of quality on the ball has seen us win 7 out of 10 and sit in our highest position of the season.

Do we see Exeter after yesterday as a promotion rival or one that will peter out as the winter sets in with the crap pitches??
Our return fixture in March imo was going to be a big game but now i'm not too sure.

Indeed it has. I put that down to our resilience, physicality and work rate. If that takes us up over a season then great. But I dont think itll be enough. Of the games weve played against the other top 7, the only one where weve looked the better team was Swindon, and they were obviously missing their main striker.

All in all we have to be very pleased, especially given our injury list. But it feels like every time we threaten to find an extra gear, it fails to materialise.

I think they'll be up there, but if I was their gaffer I'd be after a striker and centre half in January.

In this division i'd say yes. Yesterday Exeter were technically the better side with their passing and moving while possession, our success came from our defensive attitude and battling mentality. We played Vale of the Park the other week and got knack all for it. Same with the Forest Green game.

As faithful alludes to i'd expect Exeter to be up there, they play a neat brand of football. But they are desperately missing a battling element that you need in league 2, they looked powder puff upfront. A decent striker or two and i'd have them as an automatic candidate.

I’d say Exeter were a forward short of being the best team to visit us this season
