So why does it keep happening ???? How many times this season have we sat back instead of going for the killer 2nd ???? We the majority of the times drop into our shell .......... you knew yesterday that we needed that 2nd goal before ht because you knew what was coming ............. apart from the Cook miss after ht what other clear cut chances did we muster up ????? Was we making the keeper make save after save ????
Oh if you don’t believe we sit deep after we go a goal up then yesterday they get a corner and we have EVERY single player back defending it no outlet no nothing :( Why do that ????surly the logical thing is to leave 1 or two players to occupy there defenders rather than give them open invitation to send more players up for it ............ and what happens when we do clear it ??? When we hoof it down field ?????? It’s come straight back to us because we are sat that deep

I'm not disagreeing with many of your comments above with regards what we should have done in the second half, the vast majority of league two teams aren't comfortable with a one goal lead, I'm disagreeing with those suggesting Adams told them to go out and let Crawley have possession, that is their opinion nothing more.
Holding a one goal lead makes the best teams vulnerable you see it week in week out even at Premiership level as the minutes tick bye they drop deeper and deeper .

But them PL teams can see it out or are up against world class forwards we yesterday weren’t:( we’ve been doing this for most of the season so I cannot understand what makes yesterday any different ................ you could see what was coming and if he was pushing them players forward and they weren’t responding then why not change the system or change the players ??? He did neither he stands there and doesn’t react till it’s to late :(
I mean he was forced into the Vernam change but you know he would have left it till 70 minutes before doing a thing .......... why when we could all see the pattern of play from the 46th minute onwards

Honestly I want the guy to be a success I want to be made to look like a fool ........... but what came out at the forum and what’s going off now is making it hard to give him my support .......... we can all see the issues ex players can see it so why can’t he ????? Is he that arrogant that he’s simply unwilling to change his ideas for the greater good .........

What came out at the forum that makes it hard to support him.
We will have to agree to disagree I can't accept any football manager would send his team out to not carry on as they did in the first half.

Correct, we had Cook on the halfway line and everyone else sat deep from the second half kick off, I said then well we might get a point...we didn't..

I think one of the reasons for sitting deep is to try and protect Canavan who has no pace whatsoever. We’ve seen on a number of occasions how he gets caught out when one on one. If he’s holding the line at the back and dropping back, then the other defenders have to follow suit to play the offside. If we had pace in there, we’d be able to squeeze up the pitch and push the opposition back.

Canavan did a job for us last season, but his limitations are doing us no favours at all. He needs to be replaced this window if possible and certainly released at the end of the season if not before.
