Another masterclass from the dinosaur Derek Adams.

The tactic to drop back 15 yards in the second half and protect a one goal lead after we battered them for the first period should be a stackable offence in itself.

Sure, Crawley started the half with more energy and purpose than they had previously, but a positive manager can counter that by encouraging us to press higher and be more aggressive. They switched from a back three to a four and he had no idea what to do.

Whilst FCD was very poor for the first goal, he had a good game otherwise and Adams calling him out like he did was a joke. Where has this criticism been of his lovechild Threlkeld who hasn't had a good game since he signed?

Gillead comes on and we're playing with 10 men. He did nothing but be out of position and give fouls away. No surprise his foul led to the winner. Another player we look better without.

I don't know why this club is allergic to appointing managers who play attacking football. Instead we end up with boring bastards like this who suck the life out of you and can't even take responsibility for their wrongdoing. Sadly, our glorious CEO gave him a three year deal and restructured the recruitment department to his liking, so he isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

 

Where to start! As good as we were in the first half we were predictably shocking in the 2nd. So depressing that it wasn't in any way unexpected. If money wasn't an issue I am pretty certain Adams would be shown the door as he has an alienating presence about him.

But Sparks won't do anything - I do understand why he came off Twitter but Rupp put him into the position of being the CEO and therefore mouthpiece of the club and he CANNOT hide away when things are in serious danger of getting poisonous. Mr Blameless Adams interview after the game shows to me his opinion of himself is vastly inflated and the comments of Cooke and Morais should be taken very seriously and be ignored at Sparks peril. If ever we need him to show some metal it is now, we need some leadership as what is happening is unacceptable and more and more supporters are reaching that opinion

I stopped going weeks ago, after a lifetime of watching them. Safe to say I shan't be returning until Adams is OUT.

Perhaps Adams should listen to the whole of the post match section on BBC Radio Leeds sounds. He might learn something from the articulate Felipe Morais and the views of City fans who were at the game.

 

So why does it keep happening ???? How many times this season have we sat back instead of going for the killer 2nd ???? We the majority of the times drop into our shell .......... you knew yesterday that we needed that 2nd goal before ht because you knew what was coming ............. apart from the Cook miss after ht what other clear cut chances did we muster up ????? Was we making the keeper make save after save ????
Oh if you don’t believe we sit deep after we go a goal up then yesterday they get a corner and we have EVERY single player back defending it no outlet no nothing Why do that ????surly the logical thing is to leave 1 or two players to occupy there defenders rather than give them open invitation to send more players up for it ............ and what happens when we do clear it ??? When we hoof it down field ?????? It’s come straight back to us because we are sat that deep

 

What a joy to watch City without Threlkeld and Gilliead.

 

Sat here now wondering if I can be arsed to go to another game this season.

DA just spouts the same diarrhoea week in week out-no passion in his voice at all. Sounds like he doesn't really give a shit.

Calling out FCD and Canavan was a cheap shot. If I were them I would be onto their agent tonight.

Bemused how we managed to lose that game.

Chants in Upper Kop of we want Adams out-sadly can see them getting louder and louder.

Must win Tuesday-honestly don't think I care enough now-this squad is good enough to be promoted but the mentality being fed into it isn't.

 

Just come off the phone to the BBC radio reporter who covers the Crawley games - said they knew they could win it if they were in touch at half time as our 2nd half collapses were discussed last week. Damning!

 

I've heard charcoal tablets can be helpful.

Well that was karma for Walsall wasn’t it??
Almost a carbon copy of Tranmere away and the same as countless of games this season where one performance is completely the opposite of the other.

Lets be fair, we were decent enough first half albeit against a poor Crawley. As soon as they switched on and Vernam had gone off, we were yet again, absolutely appalling.

I haven’t heard the after match interview so will be careful what I say, but the first goal is FCDs error - completely lost his man.

But the result isn’t down to FCD, neither is the season so far. We are simply a rotten club in many areas.

I’m sick to the core of hearing Owners, CEOs, Managers, players and fans saying “knowing what it takes to represent Bradford City”… “getting this fantastic club back to where it belongs”
Well if everyone is so bloody clear on what it takes to make Bradford City successful, then why the hell year after year after year is it failing? FAILING.

All these CEOs, Managers, Coaches and players give the same BS yet do we truly ever see it in their performance? Very very few IMO. Even Kiwomya banged on the same message when he was on Radio Leeds - well is he explaining this to the players now he’s involved on a daily basis cause if he is, I ain’t seeing it.

Rotten to the core. Players look scared, useless or uninterested.
Fans lost patience. Criticise every new player before they’ve even trained.
Manager after manager fails to assemble a squad capable of doing the basics or displaying the passion to play for the club.
Owner who’s non-existent and CEO who seems out of his depth.

Even if we by some miracle make the play offs it would be absolutely unjust based on the majority of this seasons performances.

Hard to swallow what’s happening at this club at the moment.

 

That is bang on and I'm glad someone else noticed. Always looking for the ball to feet and not just the usual hoof down field. We should be encouraging the lad not knocking his confidence Derek.

 

The central midfield is a problem that still hasn't been attempted to be solved. Watt has been badly off form, he needs a better partner than Songo'o and neither Sutton or Cooke have the attributes to play in a two man central midfield. It either needs Watt to seriously up his game or a better replacement is required because as it stands we only have two central midfielders in the squad. Unless you count Threlkeld who played the majority of his career at CDM.

 

And maybe a decent manager too.

We played well anhilated them 1st half, we created lots of chances, it's not my fault they didn't convert chances,
Am pleased with the overall performance, there's 20 more games to go, judge us at the end of the season, Threlkeld was a big loss, our new players need time, I know what's wrong but am not telling you,
I could go on and on !!!

Morais now in disbelief what Adams said about FCD and calling out players. Says no benefit at all naming names. Rather should say the whole team are at fault.
