The wind is forecast to last until 17:00 today. That’s pretty much all of the game that’s going to be played in very strong wind. Considering the woeful fare served up so far, you just know the players won’t be able to cope with the ball being blown about and we may also see goalkeeper kicks going up and coming straight back to them.

On another note - there could be a danger to spectator safety that could put the game at risk of being called off if any debris/sheet metal panels etc on the stands come loose or off completely.

I can see this wind being a real problem for City, we may have to revert to playing on the deck. It could mean pass and move and a lot of ball retention, but i think we will be ok.

 

I'm hoping at the very least it will mean we see quick throw ins to feet rather than Threlkeld's wasteful and predictable long throw ins.

 

I can see us getting done today, not just saying it to complain but we were outclassed to them at their place and everytime there’s a really windy game we play the conditions appallingly, think Barrow away last season and Scunthorpe this season. Hope I’m wrong but just a feeling, with any luck the wind will blow a few in the net for us becoming one of our top scorers in the process.

I've literally just since the previous post had a fence panel blow out and had to try tie up the flapping loose end of the fence to try prevent more following it. Our trampoline decided to give the garage door a cuddle as well. It seems to have calmed down a lot now, though.
