Wot, Adams' footy nous has been figured out by the opposition?
You mean the remaining fans have more of this to look forward to.

    Wunderbar!

I'm a massive fan of Levi Sutton but today I thought he looked out of it and almost disinterested. I know he was only given 10 mins at the end but was it another sign of an unhappy ship

It happens most weeks - how the hell has it not been addressed?
If we don’t fall apart the second it’s because we were so bad in the first the second is a minor improvement.

How can a team expect to be anywhere near promotion if they’re only capable of turning up for half a game?

Maybe Adam’s master plan was to implement this into the seasonal performance and only turn up for the second half - which has all fallen apart due to the reality we’re crap.

Our best performer this season and for some reason has been dropped. Would have made far more sense to put him in at RB instead of FCD. I think it’s telling that he wasn’t.

The FCD effort was a carbon copy of his effort, or lack of it, at Salford. Not criticising him, but someone should have shown him what he should have done, and either he hasn't learned or he wasn't told.

Morais and Cooke couldn't understand or explain our dreadful 2nd half showing - Phil thinks there is not only a negativity to our tactics but a lack of player nouse in saying they are going to come hard start of the half so we need to up the tempo to counter this and Cooke said it really is unacceptable what is happening and its true we lack that killer instinct.
Adams as usual just blamed everybody else!

FCD is being turned into a scapegoat here until his undoubted mistake he had a good game I particularly like his balls out defence into midfield reminded me of McMahon

It’s a bloody state of mind we played them off the park first half they didn’t have a kick. Playing Songo'o further up the field was a good move. So why go ten yards deeper second half. So gutting leading to a miserable drive home

Centre back and right back are positions we need to strengthen.

Instead of sniping at those om the pitch, I'd rather our glorious manager be challenged as to why we're signing players in areas we're well stocked and with said player yet to feature at all nearly a month after signing, and not strengthening areas we're clearly weak. And I'd like to hear his explanation as to why our second half performances are consistently garbage

Listening to DA after the game, he's already decided that FCD is not good enough, and I fully expect him to be shipped out next week. Rather than saying he'll talk to the lad and get some coaching to iron out his problems, he said players who make mistakes should leave the club. If I was FCD, I'd be already emailing my CV and getting the hell out of this club. What a shame. Staunton, who made the bench today (by default) will probably be doing the same, because for sure there's no progression at Bradford City for younger players. I'm struggling to think what Adams is doing positive for us.

    Bronco, you're worse than Adams.

    Stop blaming Finn.

Look at the guy who was stood by himself and received the throw in. Why was no one marking him? Was it Cooke stood their looking at him? Then why did neither Cooke nor the other player run towards him to stop the cross? He had so much time to cross the ball it was ridiculous.

That is bang on and I'm glad someone else noticed. Always looking for the ball to feet and not just the usual hoof down field. We should be encouraging the lad not knocking his confidence Derek.

    I'd be pisses off too.

Cooke - most assists provided in league 2 about a month or two ago and chucked on the bench

Vernam - assisting and scoring and chucked on the bench

Sutton - the only one in the midfield with any energy, trying to press and run on behind the forwards - benched

Meanwhile Gilliead and Threlkeld are dreadful and keep their places.

The players will see it. They will see Gilliead and Threlkeld being awful. Some of them will be talking about it in their friendship groups and they'll be getting pissed off.

It's easy to say "they're professionals and should be getting on with things" but we're all professionals when we go to work and we get pissed off with a manager or leader and grumble and moan about it and have days when we can't be arsed. Footballers are no different.

What I'm seeing now is that stage when some players stop playing because they think the manager is about to be sacked. They're not playing for him anymore.

Agree, both FCD and Foulds had very decent games. However can’t deny the mistakes in the defence for the goals and can’t blame Adam’s for acknowledging that.

But weve put that sort of second half performance in two many times this season and Adams seems unable to stop it. It's been mentioned in here that opposition managers are noticing how we weak we are second half and are telling their players exactly this. That's on the manager.

I feel your pain, I went up to Carlisle and said to my daughter, that's me done until this nasty bugger is gone.
It isn't that I don't care, I care too much and can't bring myself to watch anymore so my ticket will remain in the drawer for the rest of this season

Why didn't he blame whoever was supposed to be marking the guy who received the throw in?

Why didn't he blame Cooke and the other defender when they didn't close down the guy who received the throw in and had loads of time to cross the ball?

Because he's lazy and scapegoating. It's not assigning blame when you select some and not others. It's lazy.

It also shows his siege mentality. He doesn't bother about stopping possession or crosses. Just keep dropping deep and let's hope they miss.
