The Criticism of Parkys style of play was way over the top yes there was some boring matches just as there was under Stuart.
The atmosphere in the ground when PP was here was miles better and achieving things always keeps the interest

 

If it gets us out of this league I'll take that for a season, we were told by the Preston fans about his style but they also said he does the job, why would we want tippy tappy football with no end product, bring it on Grayson.

 

I'm not bored with proceedings, it goes without saying everything as to be right for both parties.

But to ignore what Grayson is saying and the majority of fans is ludicrous. They say they want promotion, that is good, then you have to focus on the first tea,. The plan they have will never get us there unless they are extremely lucky. If they continue the job gets considerably harder and relegation is a strong likelihood. We can do the youth development when we can afford it.

 

Whilst I get the gist of your post, I don’t think it is “ultimately the fans’ choice”. Regardless of what we think, we don’t set the ST prices and nor do we have any say on how the budget will be spent

 

Mate, they're putting the emphasis on the development squad to fool you and City fans. They just don't want to spend their money and are hiding behind the this development squad bollocks.

We need to get these owners out of our club and fast.

 

Disagree fund it from their own money and if they sell some on at a profit pocket the brass, no problem, but not at the expence of progressing the first team.

I don’t disagree. But like lots of things in life priorities have to be made, and in our situation it is a luxury too far. If they want to continue to develop young players they need to find it from other investment, not fromwhat the club earns.

 

They got muddled up right at the start, how could they say that they'd play attractive attacking football as a must, accept losses that would happen from such an approach and also bring through "our" players, then talk absolute baba. "Promotion in 3 years" "Top two is still on" etc?

That's what pisses me of more than anything, apart from that stupid movie, just be straight with me and I'll happiliy follow a well thought plan and I'll wait and wait. But don't waffle and then flip flop, now we are chasing a manager totally at odds with what they set out to do. How are the owners, particularly Rupp, going to be happy with this?

 

I can see you now, your lass goes into the shop and you park your bones on one of those seats outside the shop and get your mobile out, first stop Bantam Talk, and this routine is done at every shop, been there done it mate .

 

..and it may not all be about big transfer fees, because if Grayson stays he will have earmarked players he has worked with before. Those he can trust to deliver. Guys wise to this division and wise to mounting the challenge it requires.If he gets the chemistry right we could be on the up without speculating too much on talent unproven at this level.

When you say lack of lets say movement from the decision makers i take it you mean jan trsnsfer window?
I know for certain maccall gave edin/gregg two names and the clubs of these players would not sell at any price,i know maccall through his toys out of the pram because if this.
Look edin and maccalls personalities clashed.it happens in all walks of life.
My oppinion is that we never should have taken maccall back because as soon as it went wrong it was going to always split fans.
Edin n co are and were outsiders so they were going to be and still are prime targets.
We are debt free,infastructure is getting better by the day,affordabble ticket prices a clean slate and bigger budget than last season to play with.i think we need to have a reality check.

 

If Grayson doesn’t sign on these last 3 months have been a total waste and cost us money for someone who will walk away anyway.

We were never in danger of going down,might aswell have gone cheap and left Abbott In charge.
