I wouldn’t take too much from the brief comment, my guess they have been talking for weeks.

 

Unless it's already been decided what's happening next season whether he is there or not

 

I'm with @How, if Grayson doesn't sign now it's been a wasted 3 months, I'm not sure I would have given the job to Abbo but whoever it had been we would have been 3 months further down the road of what is needed as a club going forward.
Of course the other option would have been to keep McCall and hoped he could kick start the season knowing he would be gone in summer, because IMO that was the only reason for bringing Grayson in and it didn't work unfortunately.

As soon as he turned down the contract e should of told him to do one. Now he's pulling our pants down.

My take on the interview is he's being coy and will sign next week.

 

May take on the interview is that he doesn't want to scare off any championship suitors by committing, but will bite the bullet if no one else of note comes in for him by next week

 

Parky refused to play ball on terms offered him, Stu reluctantly and to regret, so what will SG sacrifice to get the job? They have learned from their mistakes, but it remains to be seen how far they will go to meet his demands.

 

Funny how people interpret the same message differently. Having listened to him, I think he intends staying. I just think if he wasn't, he wouldn't have allowed ANY discussion regarding the "talks" and would have deflected questions regarding his future with us until after the Scunny game. Who knows?

I'm sure he did, but heart over matter as it turned out , basically Head of Coaching, with input along with Abbo on recruitment...Not totally the free hand he would have liked.But he went along with it out of love for the Club and love for the job.

 

Stuart didn't say he reluctantly signed in his pressers when hen he signed, quite the opposite actually.
