Gary Bowyer - manager next season

Strange that all I have heard is Glenn Ackroyd Wetherby whaler and Julian Rhodes all doing there best to set things right for next season

 

Bowyer covered this post match interview. Said got too many loans players for matchday squad. He said players should be left out for football reasons not because of too many loans.

A situation he said he wouldn't have let happen. Hopkin/Rhodes ensured too many loans during January window.

He said: “I am fully committed to helping steer the club in the right direction and will not run away from the challenges in front of us.

“In the weeks and months ahead, we will be making key appointments and putting in place a structure which will hopefully ensure we are stronger next season and beyond.

Give the man a chance to carry out his plan, then question his appointments.

 

I'm not inclined to share your optimism. It's not that simple for a starter, as words are simply easy to use.

Under the regime of Rahic were was @wetherbywhaler and @Glenn Ackroyd with their voices?

 

Well we will just have to wait and see if their words and deeds bring benefits then we can judge.

 

Give it Bowyer now. The Club needs stabilising.

City being relegated isnt due to Bowyer.
Taking 10 points from the first 17 games in fact 7 points from 16 games after Shrewsbury on the first day is what tore it. 3 managers haven’t been able to get a tune from this group. In addition The appointment of Collins to oversee this squad holed city below the waterline. Rahic is culpable for this and guess what Didn’t know Football. shock.
Bowyer needs to deconstruct this spineless lot and bring in players that give a shit when they face adversity. As opposed to chucking the towel in.
We want our city back.

Look the only person responsible for what has been happening at VP is Rahic. It is no good blaming others for not stopping him. Like many of his kind, he stood no rebuke, no scrutiny and was clever in the way he set up the management structure so that only he had access to accounts, even Stefan was not able to automatically have access to the books. He was charming and deadly at the same time.

How to dismantle and cripple a football club in 2 years, look no further than what has happened at our club. We now just need to support the Board, Management and squad as much as we can. We can do it, we have come through worse, so we have the dna to do this. At the moment it is painful but at some point we all have to let go of our anger and anxiety and just do what we can.

Without doubt, ***WINNER*** the guy didnt take kindly to any advice, I'd suggest by now most fans would realise that.

“It’s not an ideal situation when you’ve got that many loans and someone has to miss out because of that, not because of how they were performing.

Looks like theres only you questioning the Payne situation.

 

I like the fact he said "it's disappointing thats the rule" no it's not, whats disappointing is that Edin and Hopkin between them decided to sign 6 (six!) loanees knowing full well they can't all play.

I think Rahic is, obviously, to blame for this mess we are in, but the players are just as bad - the least they could/should be doing is putting a shift in. even if it's just to try and ensure there's some interest in their services from other clubs in the summer!

I might have preferred Bowyer to be getting better results than we are so far, but I won't be calling for his head until we've seen what sort of a side we're putting out next season and how we play then.

 

Agree, I also think it highlights what a poor manager Hopkin was.

 

Not sure about that. What it does highlight is that managers have to be very careful about what they are inheriting not only from s playing point of view but from a board perspective.
I don’t believe anyone could have been successful with this group under Rahic.
Fundamentally the players are soft /passed it/ don’t care. Take your pick.

 

He couldn't get a tune out of them, loaned players we didn't need in positions we didn't need and made the mistake of saying we'd be more than ready with the signings and that they'd be in for Jan 1st. He knew that for every game he'd have to not include a loan player too. Another pointless signing.

 

I’m not saying Hopkin isn’t blameless. The fact is we’re down because of the overlord. Darth Rahic screwed us over.
